Make money money?
Feeling the struggle. A little background...

So I am in my 60s, farm is coming into its 70s. Have several land unlocks. Have a HUGE tree area with several farm hands. Have ducks and rabbits on auto feed with a single farm hand. Have a huge area with many many animals - not currently being auto fed. Currently, for buildings that increase income, I only have the vegetable type stand that is up to level 15 to improve how much money is received from harvesting. Gems are not an issue. Ribbons come in quickly when I to the short bonus quests.

My struggle is if I put a single farm hand with the huge rows of animals its consuming several hundred thousand of money. Faster than growing things and tree harvesting can make up for. To make up for this I move a farm hand away from this area and then spend 1-2 days on crops to get money back. This doesn't seem right.

What recommendations do you have for next steps to increase money?

Am I on the right track? Should I buy the tree stand to increase how much trees are given per harvest? Should I buy the animal stand to increase how much animals provide per harvest? Perhaps that is the best thing I should do?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

If you plop down huge swaths of animals, it will appear to gobble up all your money for a few cycles, but then you hit the ROI (return on investment). Even including the cost to feed, animals will always yield more money in the end. One of the devs recently said that animals are a very profitable source of income. As long as you dont spend all your cash, you'll always be making headway by feeding animals. I have farmhands feeding all my animals when they arent harvesting trees or fishing, and this setup works for me :)

Night tulip+sprinklers. Everything else is a joke.

Thank you! I am not sure I have these unlocked yet but I'll see what I can do about getting them sooner than later. :-)

Purple bellflower is good too, but must be harvested 2 times per day to be better than night tulip.

You can also make up to 1000 tiles pond with fish and let 1 farmhand to fish there.

Ah! The fish is a great idea as I have accumulated a very large fish area.

The most profitable thing in the game today is the Reindeer.
In second place is Fallow Deer.
In third place is Queen of Night Tulip.

But this is for top players.

For you, the best option would be a clownfish.Clownfish is the best fish.
The whole secret of fish is that one farmhand can simultaneously, continuously process 7 lakes of 1000 cells, which is 7,000 cells.
If you place this farmhand in the middle, and build around it 7 lakes of 1000 cells with clown fish, then a large influx of money and gold nuggets is guaranteed to you.
At the same time, you only need to pay for the work of the farmhand, he will very quickly serve 7,000 cells.
If you yourself will be harvesting on 7,000 cells, whether it will be trees, or vegetables, or animals, or flowers, you will spend a huge amount of time. And in the case of fish, you won’t do anything at all.

Fantastic This is very helpful! I don't quite have the land fully unlocked (about 10 sections to go) but I'll work toward this some while working on everything else as well.

Thank you!

Thank you! You addressed my original concern and question.

Truly appreciate your time and sharing these details.

Your welcome :) It took me a while to get a feel for how much money I needed to set aside for animal food. I was wanting to spend all my money on buying more flowers or trees and such, but then I realized that if I keep a few hundred thousand or so minimum in the bank, then my animals will have plenty to be fed with

It really depends on your playstyle you know? If you want more active, get lots of flowers, all kinds, they are good for money and xp. I had a similar problem when i had to many animals during the midgame.

But when i reached level 80 i had lots of everything and then all of a sudden i really didn`t need any gold any more. All of i sudden i lacked lots of diamonds cause the expansions where quite expensive. The i went for tea, lots of tea usually i log in once per day and harvest tea if i am not in the mood to play.

The harvest inprovement things you can buy for 80 medals i wouldn`t buy because they are extreme expansive to upgrade and each upgrade only give you like 2% increase in money. This is just a money sink in endgame when people don`t know what to buy any more. Also the 80 medals can be invested in better things like tea for passive playstile or zinamon trees of you want mor active. You will really need these extra diamonds later on.

Thank you, Jubenai! This sounds similar to where I am at. I have a lot of everything just probably at the hump before the door opens up to moving forward more easily. I made a change with two farm hands with my animals - I placed them in the middle so they can harvest. But I also completely rearranged my animals so two farm hands, at the current time, can feed the like 12-15 types of animals I have in a row. *crosses fingers*

It seems to be a common theme to purchase a lot of a single item that is ready "quickly" (30 minutes or so) and then put a farm hand by it/with it to harvest. Am thinking my focus needs to be on unlocking the expansions (have 42,000 diamonds saved up for this). Have about 10 or so areas left to unlock. Am hoarding gems to try to unlock as many at one time as possible? No, this makes no sense. LOL Because I am then forced to prepare so many plots all at once. Perhaps I'll get up to like 70k gems and unlock the rest of the left side, then another 100k and the right side. We will see.

I also work on the looks of my farm (not the outter edge, everything inside the outter edge - as my terrain is hilly). So having a lot of any one thing hasn't been something I have pursued.
Kambien Aug 30, 2019 @ 6:54am
In one further addition, I purchased my final farm hand and is now a fishermen. So a few additional sources of income now.

Next up, unlocking more areas and more storage!

Brief update... I made it over the money hump, as I refer to it. Am able to have the animals fed full time thanks to everyone's help! Have expanded greatly in the last three days; many more lands opened up. Now have the castle and an Asian style home. Viking home in progress, another Asian home in progress, and a cabin in progress. With all the land expansions purchased around 15 barns. Can actually take care of the farm without having to keep going back to sell for gems so I don't miss out on harvesting more for the next round of gems.

Things are running much smoother now! The animals bring in a very good amount of money as well - as noted in this thread.

When things stable off from all my purchases I plan to expand out the animals to include the others I have yet to place (purchase). Will be neat to see where the farm grows to from here!
