Active Quests.. #LimitMe
Hey there,

I've always wondered why the developers have not increased the number of available active quests a player can have. I think I've had a maximum of 8 so far. I'd like to have more. I tend to choose the "long" quests as the rewards are substancial. I've never got enough pink ribbons to buy sprinklers, and I've never got enough diamonds to expand quickly. The active quest limit needs to be increased, or better yet removed. If we have the time to dedicate to this game, why can't we play it our way? I'd prefer to have as many quests available as possible so that I can level up and expand quicker. Does anyone know if the developers have any intention of modifying this? Even double the mount of active quests would be a welcome change.

P.S. Please don't take my suggestions as aggressive. I love this game to bits and want to see it grow. For me, Farm Together is what Farmville SHOULD HAVE BEEN from day one. Finally! A farming simulator that's actually FUN to play and a lot less tedious than the Farming Simulator franchise. I do have a few other suggestions, but this should be enough for now. Take care everyone and HAPPY FARMING! :steamhappy:

I don't know what level you are on, but a good way to be able to clear quests and get new ones fast is to plant new flowers/trees/animals/fish when they are available. By the time you get the quest, they are ready to harvest and help complete quests faster.

Of course you need $$ to do so, so a balance between that and gathering flowers/animals to get more money helps a great deal.

Also, I noticed that some vegetables comes back often in quests so you can plant more so that when the quest is available, they are ready to harvest. You can see a small pattern in quests sometimes.

Also, usually, the first quest for animals requires 10, then 20, 30 etc.... so you can invest in new animals as soon as available for a minimum of 10 to be ready for the first quest you will get. Add animals progressively.

Make sure to "invest" your available cash.
Also, investing in sprinklers on flowers helps a lot. If you don't have enough ribbons, put sprinklers on the flowers that gets you the most money first.

By gathering milk/fruits more even if it's not on a quest, you can make cheese & jam to get ribbons.

These adjustments can help you clear quests faster and get new ones, so you may not feel you need more quests as much.

It does not surprise me that you're having trouble getting enough ribbons from quests. I had the same problem, which is why I searched for other faster easier methods.

There are flowers and trees which give diamonds, so plant those, harvest often, and you will soon be swimming in diamonds. Unlock all your trees and flowers as soon as you can because the higher level stuff gives you a greater number of diamonds per harvest, plus they give even more then they did initially after you level up those trees and flowers. Do not get into the rut of spamming your low level crops/flowers or trees. Higher level things give greater rewards.

As for ribbons, there are four ways (I explain bees in next post). The first way to get ribbons, build as many houses as you can and level up the piano and easel until you unlock the option to earn ribbons from paintings and songs. You get one ribbon from the easel every 1.5 hours (i think) and two ribbons from the piano every 3 hours. Doesn't sound like much but it takes two seconds on the easel and 15? seconds on the piano. I have my houses close together and make a circuit every hour. The stove only gives tickets, no ribbons.

The second method for ribbons (and this is really the thing any new player should focus on first) is to work on unlocking the jam press and the building which gives you ribbons in exchange for jam. Dear god this method gives so many ribbons -- I'm now making well over 200 ribbons a day using this and the other two methods.

Third, buy apple trees and tamerind trees when you can, entire groves of them. Apple trees are only 100 coin to purchase so dirt cheap. Tamerind gives you cash/coin and they both give fruit as a resource. They are harvestable at every season so spam them to death every 17 minutes. You're using the fruit for jam, but also, you get gold nuggets every so often from a harvest. Take the nuggets to the Pawn Shop (another building you need to unlock) and exchange them for ribbons. (Some people say to exchange nuggets for tickets, for paying the farmhands but... I've made 58.000 tickets from playing the piano and easel, I don't need any other way to make tickets). You can also pay farmhands to harvest your orchards because spamming the orchards does become tedious. I just got my first farmhand a few days ago and it's awesome.

(OR, if you want, do exchange the nuggets for tickets, pay the farmhands that way while ignoring the houses. Your game, so play it your way and enjoy it!)

I personally don't do quests. For me, right now, the way I am playing my farm, quests are an incredibly inefficient way to get ribbons. For example, when i first started playing I wound up with ACRES of stupid ducks just to get them to level up. God I hate those things. Feed feed feed and feed again, takes forever to get any eggs. Screw that. Just do the quests until you get the other stuff unlocked and then, when you get more towards the end-game very high level when you've unlocked all the plots, then go back to quests when you have mega room for all the stupid stuff the quests require.

Hope that helps, ignore if it doesn't.

oh I forgot the bees. Beehives cost 10 diamonds, give honey, and are harvestable once every 23 hours. You also need the building which trades honey for ribbon. Before a harvest, go to someone else's farm so you can get your Boost. Then, when you return to harvest your own bees, you get two resources (two honey) instead of one. Then take your honey to the building which gives you ribbons.

I bought a pump jack a couple days ago, plus a lot of other stuff which cost ribbons and yet within an hour or so of playing the game, somehow managed to recoup all the ribbons I'd previously spent. Just keep playing the game and soon enough you'll have piles of diamonds, ribbons, tickets, etc.
