How to land in plane mode?
Can I land in plane mode on a airstrip . Do I have enough brake speed to stop my aircaft. How do flaps affect this? is it poisble with a cross winds?
How do you know if your going to fast or overshoot, I am not a experiened pilot so even some basic indicator lights to help me land would be nice like the 4 white/red lights at real life airports

I would recommend landing in VTOL mode. The design doesn't allow for too much play in the glide path. You would have to be very precise at the bases that have runways. But yes, it can be done.

I've been able to land in plane mode... on the ground. Haven't tried it at a base yet. I wish the flaps would lower your stall speed more, or maybe have multiple flaps settings. Or maybe different wing setups, with one made for plane style landings.

I've managed to land at Security Station and Drill Site North 1.

My tips are 1) that you should know at what airspeed you can fly right before your plane starts to descend. 2) line up with the runway and don't fly at too high. 3) switch to VTOL mode immediately after touchdown because the planes have little to no braking.

Oh and flaps save the day!

I recorded my landings:
