Why so many different keys for trading?

Sometimes to initiate trading it is the trigger other times its the hat sometimes the fire button. It is confusing. Sometimes I get to a place and the map indicated something was required but there seems no place to deliver and so I cannot get paid for the item I brought. I have made about 20 trips and I have just over 5k when I assume I should have about 20 or 30k. I am still on the starter ship as well.

I have played Eve Online with no problem. All the X games with no problem. Those are games which everyone says have a steep learning curve and are too hard. This game has all of 6 menu/control options and I cannot make them do what I want to do. Flying is fine but ground based operations are beyond me.

When you are on the trading square you press "Enter" on your keyboard and can start the process to refuel and buy or sell. I use the keyboard for this. You default to your selling side, you can arrow right to buy. For best results, by B2 rations at the space port in the lower right of the map and sell them at Nord I believe which is the upper right of the island. you will get the most money for rations. Do that 3 or 4 times and you will have a nice bankroll to upgrade and buy rations before heading to Raglor and beyond. Much easier to make cash with the puddle jumper on the small island than the large Ox transport, If you have cargo, when you open the map it will show you who is looking for that cargo and what price they are paying. Go to the one paying the most. There is a mine on the mainland that pays 66k for water.... Just be sure to check who is paying what on the map.

Would have been nice to no that you have to be parked perfectly on pad when icon turns green then the return key will work. hope this helps someone else.
