Currently on the timeline we have scheduled language mods first. Partly so that people who don't speak English can also enjoy the game, but also partly because frankly it is much easier to do. We are hiring some extra people to help out with the game next year so hopefully that will speed things up!
Fund raising events
Changes in calendar
After school events - Dances, adult classes,
Social events
Busing and all that goes with it, schedule issues etc
Parent issues - input, tardiness, grades
Sports
Alumni events
Reunions
Final Exams + all that goes with it, cramming, college placement (which adds or subtracts prestige/standing)
My guess is that the devs will do most of that before the release
There's some stuff the devs will work on regardless of what the modders have in their mind. I for one have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing when the workshop expands. There would also need to a release of more complex code which just doesn't work. There would need to be pre-existing features so that we can do any of the stuff they listed
