Scrap loading

During a mission with a big crusher, I was told I can bring scraps and dump them on the ground. It's logical to me that I'll be doing this with a box truck, but how to load those scraps and from where, this was never explained. So where do I find scraps to crush and how do I load them onto a truck?

If it is the huge crusher then you can only get vehicle close to the gate. You have to then unload by hand and take over to the area. BTW much easier to just gather the scraps from the big piles that you can reach. Also make sure to drop the scraps on the shelf and not in the blades themselves.

I am pretty sure that I found a big pile of scrap near the conveyor belt in the trailer park, I remember being prompted to hit "F" and it disappeared sort of like the vehicles do, Being early in the game and not having the crusher unlocked, I didn't think much of it at the time and haven't found another like it yet. Maybe that is what they are referring to.

they are located in random spots around the map. I have found them on the side of the road like you do with the vans. and in the various scrap yards
