Situation with translations (and our apologies)
Hello,

First of all, we apologize to all those who were offended by our reaction to the criticism of translations and the message of our translator. It was our mistake and we are very upset by this situation. We are grateful to everyone who sent us constructive comments. At the moment we are working on correcting mistakes and inaccuracies in the texts. And we ask everyone to refrain from trolling. Yeah, we are really very upset by what happened!

Sincerely,
ArsLogica Team

Way to go guys, threaten customers with a lawsuit! Did you take a page from the Digital Homicide book of buisiness???

It was a stupid mistake. Our translator did the wrong thing. And we sincerely ask you to excuse us for this.

We are ready to cooperate with the community and listen to your opinion in order to correct errors in localizations.

Ok, look guys. first off, it seems you have a good BASE for your game BUT it does need some pollish and ASK THE COMMUNITY FOR HELP!!!! We would be willing to in some cases translate for FREE to help a good game and a developer TRYING to create something really GREAT!

It might be already too late to make amends once SidAlpha and others report to steam what happend. No matter what evidence got destroyed someone always makes copies.

Digital Homicide tried and look what happened to them, their games got removed and is banned from selling from Steam ever again.

But this game is not early access. Dont expect updates. His other game "Robowars" is unfinished since 2014.

Well what if they fired the translator and and issued a "Internet wide apology" for the misstreatment of customers and STEAM users? All the while working to make their game second to none, would that keep them alive

Sorry is a meaningless word unless it is followed by action to repair the harm done, have you lifted the bans on the users? That would be a good start as well as firing whoever banned those users in the first place.

Hope your emotional injuries after reading the reviews get healed soon. Wishing you a good recovery.

Didn't buy the game, won't buy the game. I only came to say: "Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.", to the translator and developers.

I was considering getting this... But won't now. I can't support developers that allow their "translators" take action like that on behalf of your company. And allow it to go that far before they take "action". Why did you allow him/her to take over you account to do that? Why not use their own account. As when you did that. They speak on your behalf almost regardless.

Hi guys,

My name is Gleb Sokolov, I'm one of the developers of Devoid of Shadows from N-Game Studios. Firstly, I must say that I had a serious conversation with ArsLogica publishing team and I insisted on a revision of the policy of communication with the community. I am deeply convinced that it's unacceptable to use repressive measures against players who rightly criticize the shortcomings of the game. At the moment, all players who have been banned from the forum are already unlocked.

I believe that the translator made a mistake when he threatened the players with legal persecution. It's just stupid. And due to the fact that the translator previously had no experience in the game industry and communication with players. And of course ArsLogica made a mistake, allowing the publication of this message.

I have been developing games for more than 15 years. And I saw different situations. I'm sad that all this happened with the game, over which my team worked. The development of DoS was not easy. Since ArsLogica was engaged in the creation of game design, plot, texts, localizations of the game, we could not always influence these things. Unfortunately, not everything turned out as we wanted. For many reasons. But, we tried to do everything we can to ensure that players are satisfied.

Now we are working on a patch to fix a bugs and flaws in the game. It's important for me to have an honest relationship with the community of players. And I will do everything in my power to ensure that the situation with localizations is also corrected.

Regards,
Gleb Sokolov

Can sympathize with the developer here, this seems to be an issue on the publishers side (which doesn't make it okay), whoever it was behind those threats should not be allowed near any PR again.

This is going to be a hard one to come back from.
Threatening your customers with legal action is really bad form.
I suggest a bunch of free dlc to make up might help. As this was a pretty major faux pas..

I hope Sid makes an update video, it seems he conveyed the wrong image of ArsLogica as a whole which is something he likes to avoid.
