well, for better or worse soon after making this post I join a game and see the clan I submitted a week or 2 prior was approved and I had my own clan. But I'm not going to spend time trying to get anybody to join my clan, so I might as well accept. Should a valid code present itself I would be more than happy to.

I dunno what's wrong, maybe it's user error. But everybody's codes I put just gives me "INVALID CODE". Joining a clan shouldn't be as difficult as winning a sweepstakes.
