We'd been saying this in Beta when they kept dragging their heels on getting the game out the door; kept telling them that trying to be perfectionists with an experience that can be found elsewhere for free was a bad idea...needless to say there were an unlimited about of fanboys defending them with the old "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad" quote that applied to cartridge games of far simpler technology and times that doesn't apply to a evolving service that we couldn't properly test before launch...

I get what DxDark is trying to say, but these chucklef-ucks of a dev team are far from "perfectionists". It was a comedy of errors, led by three blind mice

Dota 2 has like 600k players every evening and everyone say its dying. Even that its a horrible game for new players. What ruined for me that game are russians because its infested with them and they dont speak english in english filter servers. Plus the very boring metas of heros and items.

I enjoy Battlebit for now even that it has 2-3k players. You can always find full server easily (depends where youre from also). Battlefield got a good chunk of players because they placed it as 3 bucks or something. AAA title game always get a lot of players because of good publicity, doesnt matter if the game was crap on release.

It was expected to die out because everything dies fast after a good hype. Helldivers 2 will have same fate in a few months guranteed

I do not defend Battlebit in any way. Its really hard making video games and I dont judge anyone. The game is playable and its alright, even if it takes forever to update it

holy cow! 600k is a lot of folks, then again Dota is one of steams more cherished games, has been for 2 decades....

But yeah, same goes to Team fortress 2 and counter strike. They can also be considered dead, espeically team fortress 2 for lack of updates and hackers controlled their games for many months. I tried playing tf2 and its not fun anymore comparing to 10 years ago with many new players. I am sure its not because I got older lol

For me kills and plays didnt feel like it mattered, because you could respawn instantly in the middle of the action, felt more like a deathmatch and also a lack of vehicle combat, I never used them once. Felt bad and clunky and usually I ALWAYS play tank in battlefield type games

Yep, true, but it's the same for every game around Steam, just check their boards. Basically as soon as the game doesn't double its peak month after month it is dedgem. Yesterday I said about similar stuff for The Finals and speaking of that game, yesterday's post from their discussions page: Dead game deniers

I can see why you hate these kinda of "game is dead" threads, but I feel like my post is valid though....

I can't even find a single f*cking server on west coast US. I am forced to play either on east coast or EU servers with really high latency of 100+ms which is unplayable for me, I get smoked during gunfights because of the connection difference. That's even if I get lucky to find a full server 126v126.....Last year when the game was blowing up, I was finding servers left and right with 12 ping connection and I was getting 100+ kill games....

Maybe there's a lot of players online but if you watch TI -for exemple- (event/show, area and prizepool) 1 to 6, then 7 to 9, and then 10 to 12 you can clearly see why some people are saying this. Just getting Valved, Doto.

ego problem with the devs had an argument with a discord mod from bbr channel, droppping nonsense about 1 guy coding and not letting others to push code when it can be reviewed so they do not want to hire resources. The mod also mentioned the time it takes to do testing before pushing any changes. Now I'm convinced these 3 ego driven developers are fkced up.
