Razer mouse = terrible fps, $15 bluetooth mouse = game runs fine
What gives with the weird bug affecting my mouse. I have a wired Razer Basilisk v3 and any time I move it the frame rate drops to 7fps and stutters for a second or two. But when I swiped my wife's $15 bluetooth mouse from her laptop the game runs absolutely fine.

I have read elsewhere where people drop the polling rate of their mice to even 100 just to try and get some kind of improvement but give me a break. You shouldn't have to basically nerf your normal gaming mouse to play a FPS. That's what they were designed for :D It really ought to run fine right out of the box like every other game on the planet.

You go for 100 polling rate if you’re cpu bound or have too heavy input lags. I doubt it fixes any of your problems.

I tried changing it after seeing the other comments and it made no difference. Swapping the mouse entirely is the only thing that worked

So you are using mouse software. Have you tried to uninstall it from your pc completely? Sometimes they cause issues..

Whoops. Turns out I had adjusted the DPI not the polling rate. Clicked on the wrong setting yesterday. Switching the polling rate to 125 did the trick but I still don't understand why this is necessary at all.

Actually I had already uninstalled it a long time ago. I only re-installed it so I could adjust it for this game.

Because Razer puts stupid garbage in their products so people will buy their gimmicks.

That's not the mouse doing that. 100% sure you got some doo doo computer setup.

Considering you even mentioned a Bluetooth mouse. Probably bought some "gaming laptop" with below average specs and expect it to run everything at 50000000fps.

I have a Razer mouse and do not experience frame drops ever. It's 100% something to do with your cheap ol gaming laptop.
Razer software is malware.

It has 0% to do with a "cheap ol gaming laptop" because I don't have one. I'm running a desktop with a RTX 3060 that can handle raytracing in Cyberpunk without breaking a sweat. It should be more than capable of running "Roblox With Guns".

And it obviously was something to do with the mouse because once I changed the mouse to a turd cheapo mouse from my wife it worked fine. One I re-installed the Razer software so I could change the polling rate it also worked fine.

But thank you for your contribution.

That isn't why. I didn't even HAVE the Razer software on my computer when I installed the game. (I agree, their software sucks. It screwed up my keyboard so I uninstalled it last year). It was only when I re-installed it to tweak the polling rate on the mouse that this game began to work properly. I will probably uninstall it again once I'm satisfied this game will work.

I think a recent windows 11 update fixed something relating to polling rates to gaming mice.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-kb5028185-cumulative-update-released-with-moment-3-features/

"This update improves your computer’s performance when you use a mouse that has a high report rate for gaming"

Apologies if this doesn't apply to your situation.

Uninstall Razer Software.
GROTSTOMPA Jul 16, 2023 @ 9:10pm
This has nothing to do with RAZER. Same issue for me here and all over the forums if you search "stutter". I've tried so many things. 13900K, 4090, 64 gbs DDR5, W11 Pro, etc. it is ONLY happening in Battlebit, no other games.

I've verified files, reinstalled Anti Cheat, reinstalled the game, changed the polling rate on my mouse, disabled Steam Overlay, FPS limiting, video settings, and reinstalled windows several times since this was a new PC build a few weeks ago.

I've heard that it's actually some type of server issue but I'm not really sure... it doesn't effect everyone but it is pretty common. Some days it's smooth, some days it's awful.

Its a game bug, I have it too. Alt tabbing or changing from fullscreen to windowed and back fixes the issue temporarily then eventually it will go away usually. A very annoying bug which was reported long ago and never fixed. I have a 4000hz wireless mouse and I have to use 1000 and still get the bug occasionally. Nothing you can do to fix it as far as I know except changing polling rate down.
