The vast majority of people that aren't terminally online use mildly or blatantly offensive language amongst close friends and family where people won't take offense. You seething about it here and on Twitter won't suddenly undo reality.
Guy said A in discord & B to a friend,if the friend has had issue,he would've most likely said something by now,so he 9/10 doesn't mind & It isn't our place to care about that anyhow
For later Battlefield games: Yeah, teamplay wasn´t as important anymore thanks to CoD weapons & HP regeneration aswell as missing a proper commander role.
Other than that: I get into plenty of matches with people using Voice, however, its a hit and miss wether its actual coms or just your average CoD "I accidentially hit my mic hotkey and scream" situation.
50% are moaning (yes, they are, for some reason).
10% are: MEDIC!!1!!1!1!
20% are: UHHHHHHH MY LEG, I AM DYING, I LOST MY ARM, I CANT HEAR WITH MY EYE ANYMORE, I THINK I CAN SEE MY ANCESTORS, MEDIC1!1!1 (they roleplay quite a bit for that, I dont know why though)
15% are: Purely offending you, your mother, etc.
5% are: Actually trying to say something related to Battlebit, objective, or asking for ammo.
Thats it.
Its pretty tough to connect with people in this game to play it seriously.
People usually say portuguese words similar to: f*ck you, motherf*cker, "go drink from your ass", "why are you playing without hands?" "do you even have eyes?" "sh*t you are so bad a this game, why were you even born?" "you are so dedicated to be a failure" "go blind your mother!" (after throwing a flashbang)
And a lot of other insults.
We laugh a lot, the more creative they are.
hehehehe... brazilian thing.
You might not be aware, but online spaces weren't really moderated 10 years ago and it worked just fine. Anyone being an ass would muted and ignored, or vote kicked.
With the exception of a few CoD releases and maybe some smaller games starting from the original MW2 which quite literally didnt even have any sort security and allowed remote code execution.
If anything it used to be worse that it is now in the early to mid 2000´s.
Im gonna remind you now aswell that back then multiple highly ineffective methods of
automated censoring were developed, actively tested and scratched - and by highly ineffective I dont mean non-functional, but being overly efficent while you could still bypass them with enough fantasy - essentially getting them scrapped because further developement would just make it pretty much impossible to not get flagged.
(laughs in being unable to even write weapon without getting censored and timed out)
