People who hate on this game are crazy, I genuinely do not understand the negative sentiment in this forum. The dude was working on the game for 10+ years and you can look it up on youtube he documented the whole battlebit creation process really well. If working hard for a decade and creating a huge success of a game is not something worthy of taking some time off, then I dont know what is. The negativity is probably what drove the dev away so good job on getting a huge L for the community.

they game itself is amazing, especially considering the size of the dev team.
that being said;

the issue is the developer(s) deciding to implement and enforce their own draconian VOIP rules, in addition to ANYTHING the community might have decided to enforce on their server. Nobody wants EA telling them what they can and can't say in a video game, and similarly nobody wants SgtOkiDoki or whomever they deem competent doing it either, ESPECIALLY if you're renting or moderating your own servers. Thats one of the reasons community moderated servers even exist, is that you can implement your own rules and regulations.

I'm not here to argue about what is and isn't acceptable to say in chat, there is obviously a line that people shouldn't cross but its also amazingly easy to hit 'mute' and move on because they are literally just words people.

The state of the game having not seen much of any meaningful updates for 10+ months didn't help retain players either.

One simply does not go from 86k players to 16k in THREE MONTHS with a banger title unless you're doing something VERY wrong with your game... let alone the fact that the game can barely draw 1k people to it daily, now.

he has nobody to blame but himself, but he also got his payday so I personally wouldn't blame him if he decided '♥♥♥♥ it, i'm done' and never updated another thing.

it was fun for that three or four month glorious period though...

Didn't they top Steam's sales charts for a while? Imagine defending them for not updating the game for a year. Try convincing me they couldn’t hire more devs to create content.

They either cashed out or never had big plans for the game. They’re content with what’s in it now and expect you to enjoy it as-is, even though it’s labeled ‘early access.’ They’re selling the idea that more is coming - but it’s been a whole year, lol.

Are you having a laugh, they used to release updates all the time and then just went radio silent. This update that was "nearly done" and "coming soon". Really left a sour taste in my mouth the way they treated us, I even bought the support the developers pack. Money corrupts all

I last played this game in feb and pop in here every now and again. There should be a sticky in the forum saying if you are thinking of buying this game be aware they just stopped doing updates and disappeared nearly a year ago

These devs made millions of dollars. They were in a position to hire competent people and win the world, but they are stupid beyond belief and pissed it all away.

at this point we really should petition Steam to change it from early access to "abandonware" since the last update news is from March 2024.

I still enjoy the game when I am in the mood for it. Hardly have issues finding a full server or few which is rare for me because I live in Arizona and its southwestern. Plus don't forget the camo update or as such that was brought up recently should be here soon and I cant wait to get my ghille uniform to go with my Ghille M200 sniper skin.

That I got from a twitch streamer. I actually ended up getting a fair amount of limited twitch streamer skins and lots of twitch drop skins and a uniform.

I just only hope Fragmentation RPGs are fixed in this upcoming update
