BattleBit Remastered

BattleBit Remastered

Why are they saying nothing?
With all due respect, cause I love the game and the devs in the past. But this is such a massive PR failure. They are actually working on it if I have to believe their discord. But the vast majority of the players only stay updated through steamposts/devblog/updates. Check the forums or reviews, most people think (rightfully so) that the game is abandoned. This will just feed into itself and scare more people away from such a great game. I dont get it cause they were doing so great till a year ago, and now basically they have given up and in their laziness have been hurting the game and the community. Why waste so much time and effort in developing a game to then hamstring your launch by letting it rot, when with minimal effort they couldve improved public opinion massively.

I dont care that they want to do an overhaul and its gonna take long time before the patch arrives. Just dont leave us in the dark and tell us what you are working on like a normal dev

Just checked their old updates to check if I missed an announcement they are gonna hide the devlog in the discord, but NO, NOTHING! What I did find was an announcement beginning last year that they HIRED A COMMUNITY MANAGER. Like did they just hire someone to proceed and not do anything lol? The game has less updates than before they got a dedicated community manager and still they failed in something so basic

Excuse me for my temper, but it's incredibly disappointing and frustrating to see such potential being squandered
As Superthijs said not long ago "They don't want to deal with the toxicity here on steam forum" (easier on discord as you can delete what you don't like) which I can understand, but by staying silent they are creating more and more.
Why would you take a minute to make a community post, a devblog, a roadmap, anything when you can just stay silent and look like an -everything you want here- at the eyes of your playerbase. Their priorities are not to improve public opinion but to "clean" the game or something, just look at the official website they have more janitors than you can even imagine.
Some guys did a .txt (not the staff?) with the upcoming changes and it does not look that big imo, just a bunch of little things put together to make it "big".

Man imagine if they released the little things within a smaller timeframe and spaced things out instead of feeling the need to release everything all at once and blue-balling the playerbase for over a year. Couldn't be me.

But why hire a community manager then lmao? I get that the main devs just want to code and dont want to write blogposts, but thats why they hired a CM. Its such gross mismanagement that it feels like the devs got abducted by aliens

rather game would die than deal with toxicity, kinda makes no sense

I get them not wanting to moderate the forums, but just letting their paying fans know that more is on the way has absolutely nothing to do with toxicity lmao
Because apparently the "radio silence" is completely intentional, no matter the harm it has done to the player-base and few number of active ppl remaining. We all know it's the wrong course to take, but what are we gonna do but sit here and wait or move on.

Edit: personally, they should have pushed out what was already done, then continue working on everything else that isn't quite ready.

sometimes when theres no talking at all it leads to a sale, or new manegment.

Everything can be boiled down to the lead dev being an idiot

Yep, better release little updates more often than put little updates together to make it "big"

With big game companies management likes to blame the devs and devs like to blame the management.

When the devs are the management there is no one else to blame.

And you could even call it Iterative Development!
Here's the doc a community member has been using to keep track of everything so far so check it out yourself,

I gave the document a read and just further reinforces what me and other people have thought, where these should have been small updates every month or two, instead of being jumbled in this giant sack adding more and more stuff before deciding to release all of it

It’s a shame because some of these could be categorized with what updates, like one meant only for weapons, one for audio, one for map reworks, one for movement revamps, etc etc

Instead we’re getting the Mahou Arms treatment where the team would just rather post what they’re doing but not actually tend to the playerbase that’s wondering what’s going on and why things aren’t being managed
