1. Hackers. Hacking became a massive problem and every match had at least a handful.
2. Horrifically bad balance. For some reason the devs are really asinine about shotguns and refuse to add any into the game. So people quickly realized you could just easily remove all your armor, play as the medic, and sprint around the map gunning people down with an SMG. With there being no close-quarters weapon other than SMGs, this meant both teams would just be a bunch of medics with SMGs sprinting around the place shooting each other, along with some hapless newbies who didn't know any better attempting to play other classes. The game basically became CoD lite at that point. There was no point in being anyone other than medic besides one token support to give ammo.
3. Devs are very quiet and haven't posted an update in 5 months.
4. Devs are extremely strict about policing the chat and many users got banned for saying a naughty word. A lot of people also didn't like the fact that your voice audio is constantly being recorded so it can be checked later to tell whether or not you said a naughty word.
Hackers: yes, if you do the math on bans and how many servers are open, there's AT LEAST a hacker in every game. They tend to not be going 100-0 tho, and if they perform TOO well, they get inspected... hackers tend to actually just be bad at the game, and use hacks to reach mid.
Balance is not as bad as he says. Seems he is a little salty. I never play medic anymore and only really play m110 engineer and I do really well. Sounds like he might just not be very good, and wants to blame face checking everything on "they all have SMGs" when in truth he is just running into the SMG zones and catching the dead.
Devs have been really quiet.
Devs were banning people for dropping the N word and similar extremely toxic language. Don't let this guy tell you they were picky. You had to REALLY mess up to get banned. No excuses, good riddance to those losers, back to COD and Rust with them. IDGAF
also, the devs don't even moderate the game, the game moderators are the ones who do
Not the BS about hackers or this or that weapon.
The major overhauling update doesn't matter after that period of time and Oki refusing to release bug-fixes...
Seriously, the game doesn't have major bugs anymore, runs fine, sure there may be occasional hackers (but they are generally server hosts' issue for banning and making other servers ban them too), but because we live in the era of ADHDTV, this forum is 99% pointless to check on because of circle jerk of kids sitting in their echo chamber yelling "dead game".
You can still get into full game at odd hours, if you go to server browser there is usually 2~6 servers to pick from. Currently only reason I don't play as much as I used is that people use VOIP to blast music.... aaaaand pretty much nothing else. So 2~3 months ago when people actually talked with randoms in their group is apparently long gone.
The boomer above blames ADHD for the devs failure to even release a skin in almost a year.
Steam is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ platform for communication between devs and community... discord and youtube are like 10x better just because of notification... and that's not all. So yeah...
