It's not the game, it's the players.
From cheating, to team stacking, clan stacking, unbalanced matches from skill base or player count base. Griefing, toxcity, and maybe 10-15% normal people that don't want to yell out *** and *** fill in the blanks. People moving spawn vehicles 5 ft out of spawn so nobody can use them, cause nobody is ever defending the first flags. To nobody ever using spawn beacons, and everyone is "in combat" so you have to run 300m everytime you spawn, just to die at around the same choke points everyone wants to camp at. Then the attitude you get when it's 20vs40 or the like , ask someone to switch and it's radio silence till you get the "skill issues" "rekt" "cope" "EZ" you get from everyone that all of sudden remembers there's a chat. Yeah the game is fun, I give it that, but trying to deal with the player base is on a whole nother level. Of course these are all my opinions, but I do see this being the majority of why the game is dying, guess you could call it toxicity, but there's a big dose of not being a team player and worrying about nothing more than jumping around like rabbit gloating about your KDR.

Similar notes were said about the Battlefield community. No medics actually risked their KD reviving you or giving you that desired 4-6 man squad tactical casual gameplay to take objectives. I think we are just in a different era of gaming for individual fun rather than group based cooperation. I remember playing BF3 on ps3 with the one eared bluetooth mic and everyone was smacking OBJ and talking. If you are trying to improve your experience in Battlebit, you gotta make it happen bruh. Don't respond to negative comments, try to find some regulars to play with that actually like talking. Find some Battlebit communities that enjoy team coop. Interesting enough I find older adults in Battlebit like 35 - 40 being super chatty while trying to put some work in on Battlebit. I guess when you gotta goto work the next day you want a pleasurable gaming experience for a morale boost. So yeah man "DO YOU". Make your fun in BattleBit, smash walls with sledgehammer to open up bigger land fights, try running enemies over with vehicles, Make fort walls for no reason. Yell into the mic when you die so you can wake these NPCs up to pick you up. As a medic when someone ask me if I can res them, I ask if they paid their 5k insurance deductible. If they say no then I let them die. Play how you want to play.

To add, god forbid you mention a map objectively sucks. The community is toxic in all the wrong ways.

It wasn't like this at release, but it has gotten as bad if not worse than OP says.
Cheaters, idiots, and trolls abound.

the player base is mostly maladjusted zoomers that cant play any games that doesnt look like minecraft roblox or fortnite. zoomers ruin every game cause they are just too sweaty effeminate and narcissistic

yes its called narcissism and social ineptitude. This is the avg zoomer since they spend their childhood tapping on a smartphone or ipad istead of hanging out with real people. working well with others is something they just dont understand

some of this is preventable like stack and balancing. other games auto force team balance well enough and playing with clan members in a group should only be allowed if there is another clan available in the match to balance on the other team. theres no excuse here for this to be a issue in game. the fact that its blatantly ignored is stupid

the kdr needs to be flat out removed until the game figures out what its supposed to be

Subjectively claiming something is objectively something is AIDs. Pure and plain "my will upon you" BS that needs to STFU. People are allowed to like every single map.

I mean some are okay. But the distinct lack of cover in several maps is just atrocious. I get it, you can't have cover everywhere for things like lag, cross shots, visiblity, etc. However, that doesn't mean you need to put a line of cover in 3 areas of the map, it just encourages zerg rushes which while fun, get stale fast.

If you aren't apart of the zerg, you're just going to get gunned down by the enemy teams zerg.

You've optimized and compiled what I thought in my head. You're right, I shouldn't expect someone who doesn't go outside and lack social skills to show teamwork in the virtual world. Skills do translate to other fields and definitely I been seeing first hand in Battlebit what the lack of social skills and narcissism gets you. A big juicy Defeat. No revives, no brainstorming. Just spawning in silence, shooting, dying, then re spawning. It's like I'm playing with AI sometimes. Nowadays I play minecraft for brain relaxer and Battlebit for good blood circulation. :boomer:

To find a collection of soy boys that wouldn't last 10 seconds in an Xbox 360 lobby, find people agreeing with OP in this thread. Lol just mute and ignore people running their mouth, for vehicles movers, just sit in the driver seat whole round if you're stubborn enough like I did a whole round once, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I knew moved it and they kept using it? Every time they used it I'd ridicule them every time for having downs and pretty much go "Oh wow! It's useful being here isn't it?!"

Anyway, I love how some of you imply that what you call "toxicity" has never been a thing to gamers and quite literally, it's having fun to others. The world doesn't care about your feelings.

You're speaking out of my soul, my friend.
Old good xbox 360 times. Miss them a lot.

People these days call everything toxic, even if you say GG in chat. Thats why games like OW censored GG because people can't handle GG. Crazy, isn't it?

I know, people are absolutely pathetic these days. People that let the words of a random stranger actually bother them are the type of people that need this robot to open bottles for them.

It's abhorrently clear they haven't had a single real challenge in their life.

Man that first week was like a vacation in a good old shooter. People chatted in the proximity chat, made fun, jokes and whatnot, you got picked up faster than you could die, so much teamplay everywhere, people tried all the mechanics without being toxic asshats, dead enemies talked to each other while waiting for a revive...

But that´s like 70k players away. Nowadays you just have the sad rest, either diehard metaplayers, toxic spawnrapers or the average selfish player who wouldn´t waste a bandage for his own mom. NA servers are a little bit better with a more talkative community but EU servers are infested with eastern europeans and Russians who just add a whole level of toxic behaviour.
