Also, games like pubg and gtav are far from dead and they have some of the worst hacking problems in online gaming so your logic doesn't even make sense.
Assault rifles and LMG's have often same damage or LMG's do less, there's no suppression so support is more or less redundant. Medic is meta, and people like that meta because they get a high off all the stuff you can do. Devs support that as well, you have tuns of attachments that don't do anything and just act as filler to slow down progression.
Updates, and quality of life updates are slow to next to non, SMG/ PDW nerfs came way too late, no Realism mode. Support still isn't good and likely won't be as good as Battle field. To have claimed this game was a "battlefield killer" is like saying back4Blood is the L4D2 killer.
There's also cheaters, devs have banned alot, but it appears to have not been enough, and cheaters are still rampet.
There's no barrier to entry, and no one cares about less than $15.
They're dragging their feet with the community servers and still don't have the FaceIT anticheat that they said would come soon when the game first launched (I'm a day 1 buyer, I regret it).
The problem is by far not the price of the game. Games like BF, CoD and so on has the same problem. This games cost about 60$. There are also cheaters and this has a good reason which has nothing to do with the pricing.
A few people needs to research how cheating technically works on FPS Games and then you will fast realise that there is no good solution for that problem. Technically is it just with a real invasive trojan possible to stop cheating in FPS Games and also this will not guarantee a cheatfree gameplay, because it also exists cheat hardware which cant be detected by any software.
Uhm ... did you ever tried to open the scoreboard during game and press "show profile"? You can then report them in the game and also in Steam. I guess an Account Ban from Steam hurts more as just ban them from one game.
Private profile saying hackers aren't that big of an issue. My RUST bull---- alarm is ringing lol
BUT.... on the other hand, they do those massive ban waves, and I'm always seeing at least one cheater getting banned in every single game, so they must be out there.
The vast majority of bans up there are for racism and other stuff like that. Since those also show.
So yeah, the game is definitely dead for me. So sad i can't ask for a refund tho..
