We are currently investigating the options regarding FACEIT Anti-cheat, with which we aim to solve exactly this issue. Join our Discord (https://discord.gg/battlebit) to stay up-to-date on the latest news about this topic.
Meanwhile, don't forget to report cheaters so that we can review it and take action where necessary. Hope this clears it up for you.
OP, the ttk is very low, and the good play-testers are quite good. I'm not saying "skill issue," just that the top players in this game can make it feel like you just got aimbotted, wallhacked, whatever, when in fact it was just a very good player that pwned you.
BTW, FACEit is a terrible idea. This is a casual game and casual players will resent being made to install an invasive anti-cheat just to play on official servers (and community servers aren't an option so long as progression is disabled). This isn't a competitive game like CS or Valorant. EAC or Battleye should be adequate.
Absolutely not. We need FACEIT. EAC is a joke the same Battleye is. I encountered multiple cheaters in the 2 days playtest. A lot of them with multiple bans on their steam account. Yet they were able to cheat in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ demo. EAC and Battleye is too easy. FACEIT is harder. Not impossible, but harder. And dont start with SKILL ISSUE bla bla. i have a 2.0K/D. I talk about blatant cheater which were firing through the ground or behind 4 walls. I posted multiple screenshots on those c*nt on the official discord and the majority agreed to see cheaters there.
Only sad to see that there were also people with ingame reports older than 70 days....
How many hours do you have?
That usually means that its a good player who was wrongly reported, and that the report was reviewed by a mod and dismissed.
The question should be whether or not if you trust the devs to install a powerful anti-cheat into your computer for the sake of the game's health and not exploit us for that. Personally, for BattleBit, I do.
So idk whats going on in your server region
I strongly recommend that you stay with Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) rather than moving to Faceit. Here's why:
Wide Adoption: EAC has established itself as a trusted and widely utilized anticheat system by numerous game developers. Its proven track record and widespread adoption within the gaming industry speak volumes about its reliability and effectiveness in combating cheaters.
Platform Compatibility: It's essential to consider the compatibility of the anticheat system with different operating systems. EAC's support for Linux and Mac ensures that players using these platforms can fully enjoy BattleBit without any compatibility issues or additional workarounds. This inclusivity helps create a diverse and vibrant player community.
Focus on Gameplay: With EAC already integrated into BattleBit, the development team can focus on refining and enhancing the core gameplay experience rather than investing time and resources in implementing a new anticheat system. This allows for a more streamlined development process, resulting in a better overall gaming experience for players.
While Faceit may have its merits, it's important to weigh the benefits of sticking with EAC, a proven and widely adopted solution. By doing so, the BattleBit Dev Team can maintain a stable and secure gaming environment while maximizing their efforts to deliver exciting content and gameplay updates.
Sincerely yours, the hack seller.
