Full of cheats and aimbots
Game is already filled with cheaters and aimbotters. Once again, failed game due to not addressing cheaters. Using eac is a joke.

Hey everyone,

This is Lulu from FACEIT, you might have heard already from me in other threads and on the Battlebit Discord.

First thing to all Linux and Steamdeck users, Linux support is coming for Proton and Steamdeck. We are already working on it.

Then, let me address some of the things I have been reading in your comments:
1. I get that some of you are concerned about a more invasive or less accessible anticheat. We are working with the Battlebit guys and developed a product, called Anticheat lite, being more accessible.
2. Some of you might not have heard about us before and this is fair. ESL FACEIT Group is an esports company that operates a competitive platform. So far the FACEIT Anticheat has only been used to protect gamers on faceit.com - here, millions of people use it daily. However, we also have a division in the company, called FACEIT Labs, that is now looking to support all indie game developers and is making our tools available to them.
3. Our anticheat operates at kernel level, but so does EAC and Battleye. Unfortunately, this is where you need to bring the fight for things to be effective.
4. Our bans are automated, we don't have hundreds of staff reviewing replays manually, that wouldn't really scale. However, if you get banned and decide to appeal, we will review the data.
5. We detect all overlays and allow Steam / NVIDIA Shadowplay and a few legit ones to work.
6. If you check our subreddit, yes you will find people complaining. It's part of the job and we are always there to listen and understand them. However, as a flag, most of the cheating reports on the subreddit turn out to be smurfing report (which we also don't love but its a different issue)
7. FACEIT Limited is based in the UK, none of the data is being shared with Saudi Arabia.
8. We don't spy anyone when they turn on the PC, data is exchanged between the driver and the app only when you have an active protected game session.
9. All the data is transferred and store with encryption. We apply CSLE encryption to all PII data in all of our databases.
!0. We constantly run audits and have a system of internal controls, which include code reviews, testing, pen testing and more.

Any other questions, shoot away.

We were planning to fully switch our official servers to FACEIT Anti-cheat instead of EAC, but were forced to switch back to EAC due to community concerns.

We are currently investigating the options regarding FACEIT Anti-cheat, with which we aim to solve exactly this issue. Join our Discord (https://discord.gg/battlebit) to stay up-to-date on the latest news about this topic.

Meanwhile, don't forget to report cheaters so that we can review it and take action where necessary. Hope this clears it up for you.

I don't know if you're messing about or just really ♥♥♥♥ at the game for my 60 hours in this game for the past year I've yet to come against anyone cheating I'm constantly on the top of the leaderboard with 60+ Kills maybe learn the game.

Same here. Never had my game disrupted by a cheater. I'm not saying they don't exist, but they're seldom. Also, 127v127 greatly dilutes the effect of a cheater.

OP, the ttk is very low, and the good play-testers are quite good. I'm not saying "skill issue," just that the top players in this game can make it feel like you just got aimbotted, wallhacked, whatever, when in fact it was just a very good player that pwned you.

BTW, FACEit is a terrible idea. This is a casual game and casual players will resent being made to install an invasive anti-cheat just to play on official servers (and community servers aren't an option so long as progression is disabled). This isn't a competitive game like CS or Valorant. EAC or Battleye should be adequate.

Absolutely not. We need FACEIT. EAC is a joke the same Battleye is. I encountered multiple cheaters in the 2 days playtest. A lot of them with multiple bans on their steam account. Yet they were able to cheat in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ demo. EAC and Battleye is too easy. FACEIT is harder. Not impossible, but harder. And dont start with SKILL ISSUE bla bla. i have a 2.0K/D. I talk about blatant cheater which were firing through the ground or behind 4 walls. I posted multiple screenshots on those c*nt on the official discord and the majority agreed to see cheaters there.
Only sad to see that there were also people with ingame reports older than 70 days....

I'm gonna be 100% after 100 hours I have yet to see a singular cheater... I think it's just a skill issue mate.

People were shooting you through the ground and/or walls? I've never heard of that, but I'm sorry you encountered it.

How many hours do you have?

That usually means that its a good player who was wrongly reported, and that the report was reviewed by a mod and dismissed.

I don't understand what people want when it comes to anti-cheat. They want a powerful anti-cheat, but they also don't want it to be invasive. Which is it?

The question should be whether or not if you trust the devs to install a powerful anti-cheat into your computer for the sake of the game's health and not exploit us for that. Personally, for BattleBit, I do.

Game is Riddled with cheaters. Day 2 of spectating people stare at walls and shoot. And the report system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Unless you hurt someones poor little feelings the devs dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about its cheaters. And if it really mattered to the devs about a gtood anti cheat faceit is a resolution and the only communtiy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about faceit are the idiots who cheat and know for a fact faceit invasive ♥♥♥♥ is gunna catch em. This game will remain ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ until a real anticheat is inforced. And for the idiots above who think there are no cheaters i can go to aim junkies right now and buy the aimbot and walls for this game that are undetected and working.

They want anti-cheat to be implemented server side, which it absolutely should be. There's no reason whatsoever where a form of anti-cheat software should have kernel level access to one's PC. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting.

Not all server side anti-cheats work well and Kernel works purity well.

I have yet seen any cheaters, or at least I do not think so, the high playercount may hide it well but I haven't found it commonplace or a problem. Since I am an extreme minority that plays on linux, FACEIT will hinder or stop me from playing. I would rather this not happen. The game is fine how it is, perhaps skill is rather the issue

I strongly recommend that you stay with Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) rather than moving to Faceit. Here's why:

Wide Adoption: EAC has established itself as a trusted and widely utilized anticheat system by numerous game developers. Its proven track record and widespread adoption within the gaming industry speak volumes about its reliability and effectiveness in combating cheaters.

Platform Compatibility: It's essential to consider the compatibility of the anticheat system with different operating systems. EAC's support for Linux and Mac ensures that players using these platforms can fully enjoy BattleBit without any compatibility issues or additional workarounds. This inclusivity helps create a diverse and vibrant player community.

Focus on Gameplay: With EAC already integrated into BattleBit, the development team can focus on refining and enhancing the core gameplay experience rather than investing time and resources in implementing a new anticheat system. This allows for a more streamlined development process, resulting in a better overall gaming experience for players.

While Faceit may have its merits, it's important to weigh the benefits of sticking with EAC, a proven and widely adopted solution. By doing so, the BattleBit Dev Team can maintain a stable and secure gaming environment while maximizing their efforts to deliver exciting content and gameplay updates.
