Will prestiging still reset your weapons/unlocks?

In the patch notes, they said it would no longer reset these things.

In-game, if you go to prestige, it warns you with a yes/no screen that these things will be reset.

a friend of mine prestiged last night and they have to unlock guns again based on level, but attachments remain unlocked for the guns they have access to

It will no longer reset gun camos/attachments. The yes/no screen was just forgotten there according to their discord and will be patched out in a hotfix soon. But like the others mentioned, you can safely prestige and just lose your rank but whatever weapons you unlock, you will continue from where you left off in terms of attachments and camos.
