[EDIT] I have reorganised the OP to make this point clearer.
The issue that I am trying to highlight is that the devs are so eagar to get rid of naughty behaviour in chat yet people have found a way to get around it so why even take such a harsh stand against the voice chat.
Do you have a source for these completely baseless claims? A game where people are screaming memes, shouting, and blasting music is going to be a horrible source for training material lmao. It's much more worthwhile to get it from something like discord or your phone, both things i'm sure you're totally fine using.
Sounds like you should hit the F keys when they pop up so you don't have to hear it. It would take you all but a couple seconds to do instead of spending 30 minutes trying to figure out what to post on steam discussions about it.
Discord doesn't record your voice.
Actually, Discord does record your voice and video. An incident that happened between my wife and her sister/sisters boyfriend was used as evidence in a trial last year. Discord keeps that information on a server for legal purposes in the event that something happens via their program.
