Its some games that dont work with my mic, but the majority, like 99% do.
I have like 4 games that dont work with it for some reason and i cant find out why.
The games have all permissions, theres nothing standing in the way.
Battlebit has the correct input device selected, it has all permissions, theres no issue in the data.
It should work.
Just like it works in Hunt or any other game i play, as well as Discord, Steam Voicechat and Teamspeak.
Anyone having an idea?
I have the allowance activated systemwide though, so i assume that must work.
If theres a way to show the app to allow it specific access or verify it has that, i would appreciate the help.
Im currently viewing the area you suggest: Settings, Privacy, Microphone.
It says from top to bottom:
- Microphone access is activated on this device (change gives me the option to deactivate).
- Allow Apps access to your microphone: On
Some apps arent shown see here why (clickable hyperlink leading me to microsoft website to tell me not all apps are shown).
- Select which apps are allowed to access the microphone: All On
It shows a few system apps and a few games, a lot of which i didnt use for a very long time or never at all, like Skype which i dont even have.
I can change the sorting to "recently used" which doesnt help showing new ones or other ones.
- Allowing Desktop Apps the access to your Microphone: On
Same here, although it shows games and apps i actually use frequently, however, this game isnt on the list, indicating it hasnt even asked permission to use it.
The apps also dont show any button to interact with anyway, i can only show where they are installed and when they have used it.
You see, on that window i cant do anything.
Dont know why, but the one i was using had a really old driver and some games just couldnt handle it and thus it didnt work in them.
The games found the microphone and selected it, but it wouldnt work at all.
90% of the games had no problems with the one i had, but the 10% that didnt work were important to me.
Bought a relatively cheap but solid one and it works fine and upped the quality too.
Now i havent had any problems with other games.
However, i havent since played and tried this one. But i guess its now fine as all other games now work too.
You know, many products just run out of support. Im not using headsets, i use solitary micros.
What gives, it works now.
It just seems you don't know how to...
The guy has a valid point, mics and/or headsets hardly ever need updating, it's usually garbage add-on software that you don't even need that interferes with the normal operation of them.
Realtek, arguably the largest and most compatible audio chip manufacturer on the planet regularly goes 2-5 years without driver updates.
really doesn't matter as it probably is not a driver issue and something else on his end.
I get what you're saying but he also followed it up with he simply doesn't have a driver update available, which is a very good possibility. Links to drivers don't mean there's an update. I've been installing drivers since 1989, I think I know how they work by now.
