How does the ADS sens work?
Hello, so I see there's not only a separate ADS sens, but there are also individual sensitivity settings for each of the optics... I'm wondering how does it all fit together?
How can I get my ADS sens and hipfire to be roughly equal?
Thanks

100/100 hip is equal to 100/100 ads speed.

Aye thanks.
So keeping my hip and ads equal, I can just adjust the optic sights normally and it'll go as expected then? Makes sense. Thank you again.
There's two sensitivity settings:
- Mouse Sensitivity affects hipfire (Hipfire Sens)
- Aim Down Sight Sensitivity affects ironsights (ADS Sens)

Both values are separate and have zero effect on one another.

Each ADS multiplier (e.g., 1x Sensitivity) acts as an independent percentage multiplier on the ADS Sens, depending on scope used (i.e., 1x is red dots, 2x is FLIR, 4x is ACOG, etc.). Canted ironsights behave as 1x, but standard ironsights do not.

The FOV you configure is your Hipfire FOV. When you ADS, your FOV is locked to 60. This is why, if you set Hipfire Sens & ADS Sens to the same value AND your Hipfire FOV is >60, ADS is slower.

To achieve 1:1 cm/360 between hipfire & ADS, you must increase your ADS Sens to account for the lower ADS FOV. Consider this formula:

ADS Sens = Hipfire Sens * ( Hipfire FOV / 60 [ADS FOV] )

For example, if:
  • Hipfire FOV = 96
  • Hipfire Sens = 100
  • ADS FOV = 60 (locked)

#1 Divide Hipfire FOV by ADS FOV
96 ÷ 60 = 1.6

#2 Multiply Hipfire Sens by the FOV difference, calculated prior
100 × 1.6 = 160

Then:
  • ADS Sens = 160

Keep 1x Sensitivity at 100% and your cm/360 values for hipfire, ironsights & 1x ADS now match. Battlebit does not support decimals, so the result may not be exact.

Additionally, to match the cm/360 of 2x scopes with hipfire, simply set 2x Sensitivity to 200%. It's a linear scale all the way up (e.g., 4x = 400%, 8x = 800%), though you become limited by the UI above 8x as the slider's max is 1000%.

Thank you very much for this detailed and concise breakdown. I appreciate it.

It feels like the weapons have different sensitivities. Red dot on a handgun vs AR feels wayyyy slower on the handgun. I've even tested this with a ruler and flicks...it's not the same speed.

I've tested the Deagle, Glock, USP, and MP 433 but I'm not seeing the same behaviour.

Pistol ironsights use 'Aim Down Sight Sensitivity', while the red dot & delta sights correctly apply the '1x Sensitivity' multiplier.

Check that you've got mouse acceleration disabled and everything's set up OK.

yeah I was having a lot of trouble with my mouse sensitivity feeling weird but then I found out that enhanced pointer precision was turned on for some reason in windows. turned that off and it's a lot easier to play the game now.

Figured it out, for me at least.

I am being used to 360 degree with ~49.8 cm and the following is as close as I can get it:

Mouse sensitivity of H/V 92 & ADS H/V sensitivity of 121.

Hope that'll help to calculate yours!

EDIT: 137 in ADS is fine for me as well.. this game is super weird when it comes to sens.
