Same has been happening to me with different games using Easy lately. Once it even resulted in whole Windows crashing. Usually it takes a couple tries to successfully load the game, but it's become annoying anyways. Would also like to know a solution to this

Theres a fix on the discord:
1. install vcredist 2015-2022 x86-64 (both) from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio-2015-2017-2019-and-2022
2. select "install and repair anticheat" in launch options
3. try running BattlebitEAC.exe or EasyAntiCheat.exe from admin located in installed files (right click on game > properties > installed files > browse) (Worked for me at this step)
4. remove C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS and verify game files
5. try to switch EAC service to "automatic" mode instead of "manual" in Win+R services.msc
6. reinstall the game (even if you already did 1000 times)

This 100% works for me everytime. I found this fix from another discussion because I had the same issue so I typed out more detailed instructions so anyone should be able to follow them.

How to Launch BattleBit Remastered if EasyAntiCheat is opening correctly when trying to launch from Steam Library or getting EasyAntiCheat error.

1. Go to your Steam Library.
2. Click Play for BattleBit Remastered.
3. Select Install & Repair Easy Anti Cheat (this won't work, but keep following directions).
4. Click "Yes" on the pop up for EasyAntiCheat (nothing will load correctly, but again, this is fine, keep following directions).
5. Now right click on Battlebit Remastered in your Steam Library and select Properties
6. Click on Installed Files (left side of pop up window)
7. Click Browse
8. The Battlebit Remastered folder opens (minimize Steam to see it)
9. You must right click on EasyAntiCheat and select "Run As Administrator".
10. Game should now load correctly

Be patient with trying to get into your first game, try finding a server that isn't close to max players as by the time you try to join, it will say "Server Full".

I haven't tested this, but in theory instead of clicking Run As Admin after that right click, you could go to Properties and check the checkbox to "Run this program as an administrator" under the Compatibility tab.

Then you'd never have to go through that again.

I did all the following + what you listed, even the automatic mode. I have made a fresh install of battlebit on an old laptop i have.

Step 1) Restart steam, restart PC
Step 2) Install and repair EAC
Step 3) Launch the game as an administrator from the game installation folder, try launching from BattleBitEAC.exe, try running the game in compatibility mode
Step 4) Install most recent Visual C++ Files https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/...
Step 5) Delete the Steam download cache
Step 6) Delete the game temp and settings files (You will lose all the game progress & saved settings)
Step 7) Allow the game exe file through antivirus program/Windows Security
Step 8) Verify the game files
Step 9) Do a clean installation of graphics driver

And it is still not working.

Any ideas ?

I fixed it.

I was missing VC Redist Visual C++ x64.

I had the x86 version only.

How silly is that.

Figured I chime in since nothing else worked for me. MSI Afterburner was causing an issue with EAC. Once I closed it the game launched.

I was having this issue with Battlebit remastered. I had installed G-helper on my Asus laptop, and it seems that Easy Anticheat gets triggered. So I had to uninstall G-helper and put Armoury Crate back in order to still have fan curves.

How did you find out that it was MSI AB? Game was locking up on me during startup so now I close MSI AB before launching and so far so good. Thx!
