L86A1 is bad
I have 250 kills with it now, its bad for multiple reasons:
- Recoil combined with high rate of fire makes it dificult to control.
- Recoil pattern seems too random.
- Low bullet velocity makes it unable to shoot at distance
- You have to play support class which is inferior to any other class in-game.
- Low ads time and movement speed makes it bad up close.
- Reload time and quick mag that you dont use because of its recoil penalty.

The only upside of L86A1 is high rate of fire, it shreads up close.

In conclusion, L86A1 is bad at medium to long distance due to its recoil and low bullet velocity, and its bad in close distance due to its ads time, movement speed, and the fact that you have to play support class to use it.

No, double burst does not make it better at medium/long range (low bullet velocity), heavy and long barrels dont make it better at any range (low bullet velocity and recoil penalty if you use it). You can not kit it in such a way to give it better performance at range, because its recoil is to big from the get go.

IF you could select a bipod, maybe then L86A1 would be somewhat viable, or if bipod would be an integral piece of every support gun (and you can still attatch grips) it would make support class a viable pick.

i tried using the bipod at the start and it made the weapons absolutely useless, it does nothing but make the guns jump around

not a secret bipods do nothing.

If you want to make it a little wacky and fun. Stick the long barrel on it, plus a drum mag. Makes it a fun 3 shot kill spray and pray.

Yep, support main from back in BF3/BF4 days, decided to play support, because resupplying is great, couldn't deal with the starter gun, switched to assault, at least I get a few more mags on and M4A1 is actually pretty decent.
Look man i main support and the l86 and the MG after it are the two i use mainly. They have learning curves sure, but i can easily snipe 200+ targets with it as well. Its a learning curve, not impossible. It takes 3 good hitting shots for a kill on most opponents. full auto with a medium scope is where most of the learning comes into play, its bouncy, but controllable. With the 2nd MG being slightly stronger, with the right attachments, you can drop the recoil alot, or sacrifice some of that recoil for a bigger mag and more damage. In my experience, The less recoil, the faster you're going to get those lineup shots you need. I hold a 3.0 KD every game with these LMGS, and 50% of my kills are from 200M+ out.

same with mk14 ebr. Looks like it would be great given its stats, and what you can make it into. This game makes me feel like I could easily survive a shot from it.
Hi, I'm Ari. Aug 19, 2023 @ 9:56am
Literally the fastest TTK gun in the game aside from Scorpion and bolt actions (obviously) with practically no recoil if you use Long Barrel + BCM grip + quick mag but you guys are so wimp wristed that anything other than an M4A1 or an UMP is "too much recoil"

My dude just drag your mouse down holy bruh.

It's ok. The drum mag makes it easier to engage multiple targets but the support weapons in general a bit eh. (Though perhaps that is just an impression from the overperforming SMG/PDWs)

You are lying, 200m+ you dont hit a damn with that bullet velocity, also at this range it takes like 10 hits to kill.

Thanks for confirming how bad you are. It takes 3-4 shots for a kill if it is less that 350+

it took you 92 hours to get 250+ kills on a starter gun.

I think i know the problem
