Make Sure You Have EASY ANTICHEAT Installed

Whenever I try loading into the game it just brings me to a screen that says make sure you have easy anti cheat installed. I have tried repairing easy anti cheat and running it as an administrator but nothing is working

Same here. Cant play, did not change anything. Just loaded up the game, it said the same then lovecraft describes

Probably their issue. Everyone on my network got the same msg.

same after mapchange. it kicked me (anticheat). since i do not cheat there's something else wrong.

EAC has a load of issues and it varies from person to person. (For me it gives me BSODs with kernel access violations) I recommend going into your game files and repairing easy anti cheat directly instead of through steam.

Well, I'm not a pro in this field, but to me, it looks like the anti-cheat software has been updated, but only on the server side. And we haven't received the update, or the other way around.

workaround: right click Battlebit and click 'Manage' then 'browse local files' and start 'EasyAntiCheat' it will launch the game.

I just had the same error. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. Tried to reinstall the game still the same issue...

yup just had a friend who had to stop playing because he just couldnt get rid of the issue.

Ive tried:
1. Re-installing battlebit
2. Deleting all EAC folders (in game folder and program files) and then verifying integrity.
3. Installing the C++ redist as recommended by EAC site
4. Run as admin
5. Disable Windows defender.
6. Repair EAC
7. Multiple reboots
8. Steam restart.
9. Running any of the eac executables in the game folder
10. Manually starting the service in windows services (immediately stops)

There are no pending windows updates, but Steam did recently ask me to sign in again so maybe related to a reboot? For all of the above where applicable I deleted the EAC folders and re-installed.

Game behaviour (any exe) - game launches, says its connecting to master server, will show friends list, then gives the error in OP. Only way out is to alt+tab (or similar - so please think about adding menu buttons). Hitting 'stop' on the game in steam won't stop it. Must go to task list and 'end task' the anti-cheat bootstrapper.

Given this happened to a few of us at the same time I'm thinking maybe an incompatibility (e.g. windows update/defender signature) that is rolled out in tranches (like windows update).

Is this issue widespread right now? weird to think i've just started having this issue and theres a steam post about it right at the top

I have a suspicion the game is looking for the easyanticheat service but our games re launching the easyanticheat_EOS service
