Remove Sniper Glint

This is basically what ruins every Game for Sniper Lovers. It is a stupid way trying to balance Snipers. It just exposes any Sniper anywhere on the map and makes any good positioning useless. The only way to play Sniper is to put medium Range scopes on them which isn´t what a Sniper is supposed to be.

I hear dumbass arguments from Sniper Haters all the time that you have to play around the Glint when in reality it should be them playing around a Sniper that you have to locate by sound or likely position. Not that it is hard to see anyone in this Game...

Arma 3 King of the Hill works just fine and it is way waaaaay harder to find a Sniper, also they all One-Shot you.

Stop listening to people that don´t even play Sniper and just want those easy kills.

You can literally see everyone with a medium range scope and still hit shots. the long range scopes are nothing but a liability in this game because tunnel vision

maybe only have the sniper glint as you shoot so people paying attention could catch a glimpse of your position but having a bright spotlight for everyone to see is ridiculous, The amount of snipers I've killed with an AR across the map by tap firing a few bullets at the bright light is crazy easy

Thank you for a reasonable response, one of few. I might not agree that having Glint at all is a good idea without giving Snipers something in return, this would be the least they could do in my opinion.

You know Binocs are a thing to search for targets.. They don't have glint.. Find a target, probably another camping sniper or prone Support player. Change weapon, and Aim.. Quickly fire and change position.. There I just gave them a glimpse feature :D.

The scope glint doesn't appear unless you are actively ADS.

Scope glare is 100% fake and over used in modern games.. it needs to be removed from this game. No one ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about snipers not having scope glare in older games like bf2 and delta force games.. seriously so stupid and ruins the whole class.

I can see how h_orn_y you are for a response and I aim to please. Yes, I must be a really bad Player that blames everything on the Scope Glint because what other reason could there be? I am sure you think that everyone that is unhappy about a feature is a bad Player.

I HAVE Literally already stated it needs to be toned down, and not seen through solid object and foliage. This includes trees and bushes.. What more do you want?

In a game where probably 20-25% or more of a 254 person game is snipers.. Yeah there needs to be this feature.

Again, if they were limited in quantity I would be fine with removing it, but AGAIN it handicaps those with lower end hardware being able to play the class they desire..

You really are daft.. Some poeple need the glare because they are visually impaired. (Colorblind as one example). This is a feature of the game albeit one you dislike I hope you are enjoying the game overall, and can find enjoyment in it as I do..

Even though there are many thing I would ALSO like changed in the game. I don't go around complaining about it on a discussions forum. I provide feedback as I have done here, offering compromise, but you fail to see it as any compromise at all.. Which is an unfair POV.

You act like fixing the bug with Glint is you making a compromise dude. You simply do not want any compromise that doesn´t lead to a disadvantage for Snipers. However I agreed to a toned down Glint if Snipers get something in return.

If there are too many Snipers in Arma KoH people will start hunting them down until only the pros are still up. If not then Enemy Snipers will do it for them. At some point they are too busy sniping each other till one side prevails at which point players will start hunting them.
Same thing back in BF before they introduced Glint and we didnt even have real Bullet Drop or Sway.

Right.. So instead of the teams playing the objective like they should be.
You would rather the ENTIRE game being about chasing around the 20-25% Sniper population around the map without their glint.

Who are THESE PEOPLE? Because most of the PEOPLE I know dont care..
It's just another aspect of the game.. The snipers I know fire, and reposition.

Again, I hope you are having fun with the current mechanics as I find the game highly enjoyable. Even with amount of absurd snipers in the game.
