FLIR scope utterly useless at night.

I just got the first opportunity to use FLIR scope for the M4A1 at night and I have to say that it does not serve its intended purpose very well. At night you can't see people at all. This is clearly bugged and needs to be fixed. It should light up anything which emits heat, like vehicles and the parts of players which have exposed skin.

I tried it and just saw a black screen, it does not seem to work. (yes i did switch to thermal mode). Bugged?

It was district for me, perhaps the fog on district bugs it out?

yes, it was in thermal mode.

Well fog on dusty does limit range of scope.

But there is no fog on Lonovo, which is where I tried using it. So there is definitely something wrong with the scope.

frankly even with out the issues your having the scope is useless in general since the basic night-vision lets you see farther and clearer, the only downside is you cant use scopes but thats it

Night maps are already kinda painful.

They'll be totally unplayable if unlocks give meaningful advantages over default optics.

lets be honest. having to program a full scale heat map for every single item in the game is kind of a tall order for 3 people working in Unity. i've only really seen War Thunder pull it off to that level. in this game, it just lights up all enemies

I do, on my M4A1, specially when there's heavy vegetation or they blend well with the enviroment,is excellent to spot people throught that

IRL a thermal scope will let you see well over 500 meters at night. At that range you have most of what you need in the game. So for me this is the bare minimum that the scope should do. And it should do thermal imaging, not some colour shift that doesn't work at night.

You mean that you are against rewarding skills for good players? Noted. I don't agree with you on that though. I think a night scope is a nice reward for putting in the effort.

FLIR totally needs rework sights abnormally huge for the scope vision is not clear so two things combined it is hard to aim needs smaller sights i usually use ACOG for snipers FLIR is so handicapped
