How do you stop getting killed by snipers

I think I get killed by snipers like 50-60% of the times. I always play medium to short range and still I feel like I am always in danger. Maybe there isn't enough cover, maybe maps are too small to have different areas dedicated to different play styles... I really have no idea why but I don't remember feeling this way constantly when I was playing Battlefield 3. In fact, I'd say it was a very uncommon thing for me at least to just get sniped. And when it happened I was like "Well, that was unlucky. 'Deploy'" But in this game I always have to have snipers in mind and many times that is not enough to prevent me from dying from 400m away or whatever and it's starting to be very frustrating, Am I the only one having this issue? Do you guys have any tips for me?

By the way I'm loving the game!! Beside this issue mainly, I've never had this much fun playing an FPS, all being said

If you play the rocket launcher for a few days you will appreciate how quickly you can quickscope sniper nests from across the map,...
And the good thing,...
After you killed them from afar their cover is literally blown up and all your frontline teammates can go ham on them.
Rocket launchers. Just rocket launcher sniper nests. They will skidaddle out of their cozy places and scatter like hungry water rats.

By complaining about snipers you're trying to make the game worse. Full stop, no buts. Snipers needs buffs not nerfs, just pay attention to the scoreboards. Right now SMGs are winning trades in long range against snipers.

yeah i've been tryna ask this as well, but all the replies are just sniper mains saying "git gud", or "actually BUFF snipers!1!!", so i kinda just gave up and gotta deal with it

i have genuinely tried to look for as much cover as possible when moving around, but there are over 180 degrees of angles to be 1-shot from in a 2km radius, so its pretty hard

my best method right now is to just tap fire back at wherever the shots are coming from. its extremely inefficient and wastes ammo, but its better than wiggling around. sometimes its enough to scare them into cover for a few seconds. i only once got a lucky kill, but eh, hopefully i find a better way of avoiding snipers hogging 90% of my deaths

i know snipers are annoying in all games, but this one is especially painful, i have never been picked off by this many snipers in a game before. not even battlefield games

Hey TrueWarlord thank you for replying to my post. I have no interest in ruining the game for anyone and I hope snipers keep being fun to play. I enjoy playing with snipers in other games from time to time (and also having to think about enemy snipers from time to time). I just want to know if I am doing something wrong or if there are more ppl that feel like me. Also, I know designers will always appreciate constructive feedback from somebody who is trying to give his honest point of view

its all about angles
if u got a window and u stand right infront of it u may have a 160 degree fov but anyone in that 160fov can see u too,
u wanna stand more to the back so u may only have like 20 fov and then u can move left/right to move through that 160 fov
that way if someone would be able to shoot u it means u pretty much got your corsairs already on them even if they are in the shadow of a bush 200m away

u want to apply this with everything
doors/ditches/cover/etc

dont expose more to danger then needed,
sure someone may cross the street and u didnt see them becouse u were not looking in that direction but u gotta depend on your teammates do their part.

and dont be in open terrain where u can be shot from 2km away from a 180degree angle, thats bad. move through ditches/lower terrain/behind hills to reduce that visible angle.

laughable. snipers serve no purpose in this game. they cant take any points, and they cant defend any points. snipers make 0% difference in who wins or loses a round. it is a 100% selfish class for insecure people who care about their k/d. snipers dont have the shooting skills or the awareness and reflexes to partake in the actual battle. if class was removed tomorrow it would have zero impact on the game aside from that annoying time you were killed running somewhere. useless class for immature babies scared to fight. would only make the game better.

You sound pretty insecure to me...the way you claim others to be insecure.

i dont play sniper. this is a description of a sniper, if you're one of those, then this describes you.
