I would say that the TTK is something you learn to deal with in a way. Primarily, don't go first in any direction for the most part. Let your team do that and then use the firing angles of bullets flying to decide what approach you're going to take.
Usually, how it works is that you can win one straight-up gunfight and take damage, and then you will not win another one unless you're healed by a medic. The TTK is too short and the health chunks too fast. So your main objective is to shoot people without them shooting you at all. This is achieved by angles of approach. But you're gonna get shot from unknown angles a lot no matter what you do. So just try to minimize it by taking paths that have the fewest angles to check for and letting your team feel out the front line for you.
As far as guns go, I recommend at your level using the mp7. It absolutely shreds and is my main gun still until I get ahold of the Vector at level 70. Just use a red dot site, there's no reason to go above it, and it makes it harder to hold your aim on someone with a medium range site. I use attachments that help with recoil management entirely. Doesn't really matter if it hurts your accuracy, because you're not sniping with it.
A lot of it comes from feel of the game. But I think that these tips might help you find that feel. I hope this helps. Happy gaming!
-Pick medic (self-heal and temporary speed boost while injured).
-Find a weapon that you enjoy and can eliminate targets with ease.
-Move from building to building. Only cross an open area if you have to.
-Use c4 to traverse between buildings and open lines of sight. You can also use it to attract attention and then cap them in the back of the head.
-Use sound cues and audio to figure out where your opponents are (this game makes it fairly obvious when someone is running near you).
good tips, and weapon choice is totally up to your play style.
smg is currently king however.
I main support so i took a harder road, but the l86 is just as good if not better than most AR options, i can even use it for longer range engagements when equipped with my favorite 3-5x optic and a rangefinder.
the rangefinder helps you pinpoint your reticle once you learn the distance, and while this is not as effective at a longer range, it does contribute to the battle field by adding some suppression and getting some kills that otherwise people would not have engaged.
this is a run and gun shooter. your supposed to flank. not charge into the enemy frontline.
Go play battlefield 4 instead. Worth the money.
