Does this game feature female characters?
I've been playing Battlefield since I was a young kid and one of the most defining moments in the series' history was the introduction of female soldiers in Battlefield 1. It paved the way for many other AAA shooters to create more welcoming environments for women. These days it seems like female customization would be a no brainer, but perhaps the developers have yet to best DICE in that regard.

The reason women get harassed in games is because we've spent the past two decades stigmatizing them. Publishers ensured their marketing campaigns were catered towards men, game companies cultivated sexist work environments, artists spent decades designing sexualized female characters, men refusing to call out their friends on misogyny. All of this along with the little things, like developers refusing to add female characters, all of it contributes to the hostile environment women find themselves in.

And no, Genshin Impact lets you play as men and women. The Legend of Zelda, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us are all singleplayer story driven games. The difference here is online games like Battlebit promote player customization. Try to think of a single online game with customization that doesn't have men. That game doesn't exist. Women in games still isn't completely normalized and we have a long way to go.
This is what happens when americans speak about their country's politics too much. Also when people behave like male feminists too much. I feel disgusted having used such a dried term.
They're right about the marketing campaigns. It all started with Nintendo, where stores forced them to pick the boys or girls aisle. So technically the stores are at fault, but whatever. Nintendo picked the boys aisle obviously, and that meant they marketed almost exclusively too boys as well.

The games industry was pretty gender neutral before then. Developers were like 50/50 men and women. But afterwards it largely became a male oriented industry both in the consumers of the product and the developers of the product. Mostly because people who play games aspire to make games, so the market force effected the producing force of games.

This game is all about fun game-play & the textures of the models doesn't matter if they male or female because its so Roblox like, imagine looking at gender before buying what a freak lol

Mh, i can agree to that. Its just when some people play a game, They tend not to care about gender all too much. Like i can say that i'm casual and i just want to have fun. The talks about the games industry how gaming is dead or whatever, or "gaming has gone woke" or whatever else just sounds boring and it will to those. I'm all for inclusivity or whatever but at the same time just have it actually be enjoyable or if it actually fits the game and not trying to be "how do you do fellow kids" ♥♥♥♥. And no i won't say pandering because thats just meh to say.

And this game doesn't need female models (Not trying to sound like a "internalized sexist" Or whatever else someone might call me.). There are other games that are like this which give the choice.

It is a miss that there are no female skins. I strongly prefer to play as my sex and typically won't touch a game where I can't. No hate to the game, it's just a strong preference for me. However, your character is really quite impersonal in this game and never seen. If you enjoy these kinds of games and appreciate a game designed for PC users, for once, I do encourage you to overlook this.

This isn't accurate. Games that are more gender inclusive and give story narrative control to the player do have more female users. I'm not sure on the market penetration of this effect for something like BattleBit :P, but it holds generally. There's obviously a few that are annoyed by it as these posts appear often enough.

There are a few skins, it's not unreasonable that one of the options be feminine. Some men may want this, too.

By your exact same logic, one could argue that by *not* having female character models, this game is being original and by wanting to add female character models you are just wanting it to copy other AAA shooters and be unoriginal.
Nah that's not my logic at all. I'm saying mechanically this game has basically ctrl+v'd all of Battlefield's gameplay logic at a very fundamental level. It's pretty much the exact same game and therefore unoriginal. The UI elements almost border on plagiarism if we're being honest.

Another argument is that every single one of these battlebit soldiers are trans & you’re just being super transphobic.
This ain't the own you think it is. All of the Battlebit characters are clearly quite masculine and male presenting. If they were trans, they'd be trans men.

Dang now you’re saying trans men aren’t masculine? Sounds transphobic to me.
That's not even close to what I said. The implication in your original post was that they may be trans women, as some kind of gotcha. And they clearly are not. I'm just saying if the developers had intended for any to be trans, they'd obviously be trans men not women. Again none of these are owns. I don't know why you're trying so hard.

The Battlebit devs have more than enough resources to introduce female characters with how much bank they've made ripping off DICE.

Battlefield 1 introduced female soldiers? I played it for years and there definitely weren't.

it had some in a DLC about russian snipers, which made sense cuz it was historically accurate since female russian snipers existed in ww2 unlike whatever they did in bf5
