I've been searching for a Battlefield-like game that has single player progression for many years. I still haven't found that game. Ravenfield is possibly the closest, but it's not really up to my expectations.
Battlefield 2042 could have been the game, but they nerfed the XP against AI into oblivion. I gave up on that game because as you can guess, I am nowhere near skilled enough to play PvP and find any enjoyment in it.
I played a single match so far of BattleBit Remastered and already got stomped, so I don't have much hope that my experience will improve.
If there was ever a possibility for bots, that would be awesome. If not, well...the search continues.
I'm not a huge fan of them myself because I play these shooters mainly for the human component. Bots can fill up empty spots. Isonzo for example has a small playerbase and does that automatically without asking the players. But by design they always have aimbots of sorts themselves, hiding in grass and stuff is impossible against them. So if they were added in Battlebit I'd prefer them to strictly stay out of "official" lobbies as long as the playerbase is healthy.
Not sure how hard it is to design them. I understand people who consider it a waste of dev resources. But again: it's not a rare thing to be asked. This is neither the first nor the last thread on this. And as soon as this game loses a majority of its playerbase (it will probably happen at some point, sadly) and filling up a lobby gets harder and harder bots may be a good thing to have.
A lot of them are oriented towards being RTS FPS Hybrids.
Like Total Conflict is one or Silica.
Theres also that one game set in WW1 with hundreds of bots fighting around. I can search the name if interested (still early access though).
I mean, you played too much to fix the mistake, but buying a multiplayer game for singleplayer wasnt the best decision making going on and the chance of getting bots was slim to begin with.
I personally had a lot of fun in Foxhole without ever being at the front to kill people.
I played a ton of logistics and such.
And i know im absolute garbage at shooting in games like Battlebit, its still fun to me and i also still have options to do besides killing and i can become better too.
So no shame. Just experiment with what the game offers. And personally there are many ways to win that have reduced combat encounters.
For example people dedicated to conquering the points/flags are valuable teammates that have far less fights than those defending or fighting in CQC.
just don't look at score, try to have fun, follow other guys so you don't accidently end up alone against 20 enemies
imo start with smg, they are easier in close combat, lower vertical recoil and like no horizontal recoil, once you get used to the game you can try to move to assault rifles like m4a1 or just stay with smg
If you want battlefield-like shooters that are made specifically with singleplayer in mind. maybe look into Easy Red 2 and Ravenfield.
Both are really cool games to blow some steam off, with massive focus on customization and modding.
This game, despite being fairly casual, is not for everyone for sure. Especially if you find it frustrating to play against/losing to other players.
Voghelm is right too, IMO. Dude's leaving rude comments, and is a known cheater... this shows their quality of character and regular habits on Steam and irl.
People like you two need to be more constructive in conversations. It's honestly not that hard to have an open ended dialogue with someone, where you communicate your ideas, understand theirs, and meet in the middle.
