The people who talk from under an NDA say 10-15-20% confirmed, but not really from what games.
Almost like the video is trying to sell something! :D
I'll believe ~10-20% in Call of Duty or similar titles. Dunno about other games, since no specifics are explained in the video.
What matters it that other FPS have tons of them, and it ruined the game. And if they do, this one will also. Even if you never seen it or not.
It being true or not does not matter. What matters is cheating has a ripple effect across all FPS games, and unless we have some serious anti cheat. We are always going to feel like hackers are around even if they are not.
But I'm also dogwater at competitive FPS games and mostly play Call of Duty if I do, where the SBMM will save me from having to witness a cheater.
Still don't know where the 30-50-60% figures are coming from. The video you suggested did not provide evidence to suggest that this is true across all games, as you made your claim to sound like.
But it did remind me that my experience != the experience of others, no matter how much I might assume they're whining. Haven't encountered cheaters in games since 2009 in PC MW2. That doesn't mean they don't exist in droves, just that I don't encounter them often.
That Tarkov video though... Funny how the Publisher behind that game stopped DMCA'ing videos criticizing it for being infested with cheaters pretty soon after that video came out...
The leap in spurious logic comes from saying Tarkov = all FPS communities.
Every fps has it. Tarkov justs was able to show the rest of the world just how bad it is.
Bro, are you for real?
The cycle Frontier is shutting down and admits cheaters was so bad, that the anti cheat they using could not keep up.
Warzone cheaters got really bad. Did you play it? At one point it sucks.
Heck even PUBG and The Hunt Showdown.
Every FPS game right now is full of cheaters. No ifs and or buts. Anti cheat tech is not keeping up, unless we go to extremes. That is just a fact.
Now lets hope AI anti cheat will do something, but right now. If you are consider good at a fps. Chances are you are also consider a cheater. That is not good for any game.
Just join spectator and its easy to see :D
There is atleast 1 on each side everygame.
Keep in mind its easy to die in this game, even for a good player that avarages around 50 kills 10 deaths.
a cheater dont run with 100- 0 or 100 - 5 they will run around somtimes with stats like 60 - 25
So stats wont even tell you if they are cheating or not :)
Even if this game does not have many cheaters. That does not matter at all. Unless we have some serious anti cheat protection. People are going to assume the worse. Because cheating is killing FPS games.
The other was a sniper who walked in to a building facing away from me, I right clicked to scope in and he did a 1 frame 180 head shot and claimed that he could hear me scope in.
