Getting tired of grind to unlock new weapons

I'll admit this game surpassed my expectations when I first bought it, but the grind to unlock guns is just way too much. I understand there should be some progression involved in a game to keep people enticed, but I just feel I'm unlocking things so slowly and I'm just losing motivation to grind for hours to unlock the next gun which might be a terrible pistol.

If there isn't a way to speed up EXP gain to unlock weapons faster, then I think a better alternative would have been a Point based unlock system - where people can level up to receive points to spend on unlocking guns they wish to unlock. I really hate that so many of the guns I want to try are gate-kept behind level 100+. I'd rather be able to level to gain points and choose what specifically I want to unlock.

It would still keep me wanting to grind levels, but at least I know I can get the unlocks I want eventually.

I just don't have it in me to play another 40 hours+ to unlock that HK gun...

If you play as a team player, revive teammates, heal them, follow squad orders, you can level up super quickly. I'm a ♥♥♥♥ player, and some would think I hate the grind, but I'm finding myself leveling up a couple of times a match and it's not nearly as difficult to level up as some people are making it out to be. Especially since they halved the amount of XP needed to level up and according to my survey, the majority of players who have taken it say the grind isn't bad / they're having too much fun to care.

Yeah, this game is wayyyy too much of a grind for me as well. This game isn't fun enough to loose countless hours trying to unlock the Scorpion Evo.

I'm top 5 of the leader board usually and it still takes too long to level up in my opinion. Best way to level is to just be a brainless medic on top of a contested point to rack up free points, but that gets boring real quick.

It's way too much grind. Unlocking attachments via kills was enough of a grind mechanic, gating weapons behind levels serves no purpose. It's just a cheap psychological tactic, that the game doesn't need. It's fun, the game can stand on it's own and doesn't need to strap us to the grinding wheel. Hopefully enough people will post comments like this that they'll come to realize that the grind is really not benefiting the game.

y already getting pretty bored of It after almost 15 hours in, just to get a weapon which is useless or not as good as the starter weapons. I dunno maybe they should´ve unlocked all weapons from the start and you have to play It to get all the attachments.

Agree. It's just an indie fps game and I have like 40 hours and not even level 80. LIke damn man who is gonna want to prestige ?

Not to mention how many kills you have to get for attachments afterward. 115 Kills with a pistol to unlock suppressor? The ♥♥♥♥

The grind is BORING ! And also makes it unrewarding because you get a new gun that has NO ATTACHMENTS. How are you supposed to get a kill when you just start with iron sights while other people already got 4x optics ?? All guns and attachments should be unlocked from the start like in Insurgency or Squad, instead of this pointless waste of time to get a gun working properly the way you want it to. Such an outdated mechanic for people who need their dopamine shots instead of having something meaningful or cool to unlock.

76h and I'm close to 100lvl. And I'm far from being 100% efficent player tho. I honestly can't say where you all see the problem. You guys honestly are so bad. It's sad. You can't play so all enemies must be cheating. You can't play efficently so devs should give all stuff right away at 1 lvl. That's why we can't have nice things anymore. It's not poroblem with indrustry - it's problem with players. This entire Battelbit Discussion panel is living proof.

This I can agree with. It's not the grind, it's the progression. Lots of good stuff is locked to 50 and beyond.

76h for close to level 100 is INSANE dude. This is a 15 dollar indie shooter. Acting like that is a small investment is nuts.
