Hell no, it's the sour parts of the Battlefield 3 apple. Gamers are just so criminally deprived of nourishment, people have a tendency to rave like a lunatic after being fed for metaphorical weeks.
Also the playerbase is firmly stuck in the present day, I too long for the glory days of a new BF game dropping back in the mid 2000's. But the playerbase we played with have all grown up and either got families and put games aside as a once in a week thing. Or they devolved into troglodyte sweats.

Playing the smaller maps has BC2 moments. 127v127 is another animal.

bad company 2 was one of the best battlefield games ever made... this game sucks compared to bad company 2..

Yea im desperate, havent played a real battlefield game in over a decade: idk what bf2042 is supposed to be.

Dice and EA saw the success of various hero shooters and thought "lets dump that into our game." Aka they want to charge money for classes.

I always though Bad Company 2 was a bad game so can't say myself. I'd say this game reminds me of the old PC exclusive Battlefields though.

It doesn't even remotely compare. only things that they share in common are largely nebulous. Battlebit is pretty hardcore whereas BC2 isn't BC2 had a very slow TTK, Battlebit is almost instantaneous at any and all ranges and balance be damned. No passive Health Regen, getting shot causes you to bleed, no deathcam, a very, very strong emphasize on squad play. Yeah, no, this isn't Battlefield in the slightest. It's something else entirely

This game is like somewhere between BC2 and BF4, but closer to the BF4 side, with some elements from Squad thrown in.
