This game needs Kernel/Strong Anticheat and everyone saying no is a Cheater, simple
This game will die without a Kernel/Strong Anticheat.

You can literally END EAC ON TASKMANAGER and nothing happens, it doesn't even kick you.

This game need Valorant's Vanguard Anti Cheat.

This game is too cheap for perma bans to do anything long term. they should start shadow banning cheaters to all have to play together in the "get good lobby"

I haven't really done a whole lot of research on it yet, but I saw another user bring up the fact that the anti cheat they're moving to runs constantly on your computer, and allows access to everything. If true, that brings up MAJOR privacy issues, and no software on the planet is immune to hacking, which potentially gives a backdoor to thousands of players' PCs.

Like I said, I haven't done any research on it myself, so that user may have been a little hyperbolic, but if they're right, I don't know how comfortable I am giving kernel level access to an anti-cheat software. Does that make me a cheater? No, it doesn't. I use my gaming PC to access my financial and medical accounts frequently, and I don't feel that an anti-cheat software should have access to any of that.

EAC is kernel level access but the problem is that devs slapped it on to the product at the last minute. I doubt that there has been attempt to implement it beyond requiring it to be installed.
As for the more intrusive version they are considering, yes it does run time and does come with more security risks. However it seems we are not allowed to discuss these issues as the majority of threads highlighting these points are locked and deleted form the forums because the devs/mods/admins of this forum do not like dissenting opinions.

If you using a work computer as a gaming pc that's a disaster waiting to happen.
Keep your work seperate.

oh boy...
if i see anyone else on youtube suck off the devs im sending them a pipebomb
because so far they've proved alot of things, not all of them good
this game isnt as much of a masterpiece as people would like you to believe (yes its good, but not *that* good) its a battlefield clone that people play like call of duty, wich kinda makes the game pointless

Keep your work seperate.

I never once mentioned that this is a work computer. This is my personal computer, and I simply don't have enough money to have two computers so I can game on one, and do everything else on another. It's really weird how this is your default solution to giving a software company unfettered access to your computer.

Anti cheat is emplemented in all shooting games and any multiplayer game. If you dont want anticheat than you need to play by yourself and still get denuvo always on drm

I understand that having anti cheat is a necessary evil.

That's like saying why do we need cops im not going to do anything illegal.

EAC is a kernel anti cheat.
InnCognito Jul 22, 2023 @ 12:35pm
kernal Anticheat Doesn't stack up against today's cheats. IT takes active mods observing and spectating matches and then issuing OS ID bans. all they do is bog down the system and eventually cause operating system Corruption. I dont like cheaters either. But server owners need to hire mods that police their servers and actively kick cheaters.

Might as well start

Kernel level doesn't do much in terms of good & can be abused FAR worse if things go bad (Kernel level = Above Admin priv ; Look up Genshin's hacker issue where they took control of the AC and forced people's Anti viruses off & the like)

This. Community servers. Active mods.

We do not need permanent privacy invasions. It will be the end of the line when FaceIT comes to BB:R or any other KLAC gets implemented. That is my line in the sand, and I will not tolerate anyone crossing it, unless there is absolute of transparency in regard to what data is stored, including independent 3rd party auditing, and I have the ability to review that data at all times.

This game needs more innovative AC, but KLAC is jsut a bogus way of doing it. Server side or blockchain-like 3rd actor verification are better methods which are less invasive.
