At least with the other kernel level ones they have wide adoption so it's not just wasting resources for only 1 game that you might only play a handful of times a year after the initial hype.
A chrome tab already probably has more resource than this.
But yea, it might come to that depending on what the resource usage is looking like and how much it affects start up time. (I try to keep my favorites or my "it's the only one that can scratch that itch"es installed because often by the time downloads finish I've lost the mood)
