Beast Battle Simulator

Beast Battle Simulator

Was this game abandoned?
I was really a bit happy when i saw the pheonix was released a year or so ago, but it has now been a year. Since they reached the arbitrary title of "complete", are they completely done with this game?

I would expect someone that idolizes 6ix9ine, one of the biggest knobheads on the planet, to ask if the game is "complete" but phrase the title as "abandoned"

Abandoned means they did not finish it and most likely never planned on finishing it. Did they say that it was finished? Yes. Did they release a large amount of content for the price? Yes. Any more questions?

Nowhere in the definition of abandoned does it state it has to be incomplete.

a·ban·doned
/əˈband(ə)nd/
Learn to pronounce
adjective
1.
having been deserted or cast off.
"an abandoned car"
2.
unrestrained; uninhibited.
"a wild, abandoned dance"

So my question of it being abandoned is still completely valid.

with that being said, my question is still completely valid.

Did they add alot of content for the price? i think that is completely subjective. i understand that i bought the game, and a developer isnt my slave to make new content whenever. i personally think it betters the game, and that this game is personally not the greatest of its genre (I give it to TABS). But youd think they would have at least a few bug patches or basic quality updates afterwords. In the few years since after i got the game, we got the human faction, the yetis, the shark king, and the pheonix.

So my question to you is how can you deny that 6ix9ine is an american hero? after his brave testimony got 2 gang memebers locked up, and after hes touched the hearts of so many, how?

I think they meant to tell you in a complicated way that the game was complete. It wasn't abandoned, it has been fully released. Like all games were, like Terraria is about to recieve it's final major update.
Also, I agree TABS is the best of it's genre.

I just thought they had more in store. No way it took that long ti make the human faction and 3 units.

Well, the game has a lot of stuff going on. The sprites look very good. And I would’ve thought with something like this, it could be quite hard to develop.

I realize i'm gonna necro this but like, man, I hate this mentality of how games can't be completed, only abandoned, and that a game being 'complete' is arbitrary. It's so ridiculous when people have this expectation that you're just going to work on a game for eternity, and then once you finish the game, you get told that you've abandoned it.

As both a game dev and a modder for a lot of things, please don't have this mentality. It's very demoralizing and not very friendly to developers at all.

When your game is complete that is one thing, but when the label changes due to 2 new features and you release no bug fixes its another

Have you ever considered the fact that, perhaps, the game was already close to completion/was pretty much in a completed state?

Again, no bug fixes or minor tweeks? They where done taking feedback or fixing anything right after the release of new content. If they would have stayed even a month to do bug fixes and tweaks id be fine. But they just left as soon as it was "done". I tried to replay this game rather recently and it glitched so much i havent played since.

What do you expect them to do? They released it in a state that they were happy with. They explicitly said that was full release because it was their internal content threshold. They also released bug fixes along the way.

Again, the problem loops right back to, you're expecting them to indefinitely support the game. They explained their release criteria, updated the game over time, and almost doubled the amount of content that it had throughout development.

If the game has tons of bugs that crop up after it's release, it's unfair to expect them to patch and fix everything so long after final release.

Besides, it was only getting public updates up until the end of February. Otherwise, the Depot itself's last content update was 6 months ago, prompting me to believe that they silently created bug fixes under the hood, and just didn't announce them.

If that last part is true, then the answer is simply no, the game was not abandoned when i made this post. If they deidnt have bug fixes however, it would have been.

I've bought this game a long time ago, when it was in development or early access. But they managed to get the final update to the game and the project was done. The devs have moved onto something else, another project perhaps, or continuing their lives. The game has been completed like planned and the devs think its time to move on, and we can't change that, as everything has an end, and beast battle simulator has met its own already. Many players have stopped playing, but the game will live on for another few years until it completely dies out. And who knows? There's the tiniest chance that the devs come back to the game and give it a few more updates. I don't play beast battle simulator anymore but when i'm bored i check the discussions cuz why not?
