Feedback & Suggestions
Your feedback and suggestions play a key role in the development of Brickochet. If you have ideas or things you'd like to see, be sure to mention them here.

Plans for Brickochet include (but are not limited to):
  • More levels ✓
  • Difficulty modes ✓
  • More music ✓
  • Steam Trading Cards (they have been made! They will be released once the game reaches certain thresholds in Steam sales and community activity, as addressed in Steam's update in May 2017 regarding the way trading cards are handled.)

EDIT: As of Fall 2021, there are no current plans for additional Brickochet content. However, feedback and suggestions are still greatly appreciated and noted.

Now this is definitely something I've been thinking about! To be honest though, I cannot completely guarantee it will be implemented. Compared to most other features and additions I could add, this would take the most amount of work.

Although it's not planned for the near future, I'll ALWAYS be thinking about a it. When I can confirm it, I'll announce it immediately!

custom music and disabling/enabling default ones so we can make a nice playlist? :D

That's possible, to an extent. The only way it can be done is if the music in the Brickochet game folder was replaced with the songs you wanted, and named according to those files (they must also be .ogg format as well).

Here are the current music tracks, what they do, and what their names stand for (in case you wanted to know):
  • bgm_chl.ogg --- Main menu & level music --- Chill
  • bgm_uc.ogg --- Side menus & level music --- Under Construction
  • bgm_bb.ogg --- Level music --- Bit Buster
  • bgm_endr.ogg --- Level music --- Endurance
  • bgm_grv.ogg --- Level music --- Groove
  • bgm_epi_op.ogg --- Opening to highscore music (plays only once, then either bgm_epi.ogg or bgm_epi_c.ogg immediately begin playing) --- Epilogue Opening
  • bgm_epi.ogg --- Highscore music --- Epilogue
  • bgm_epi_c.ogg --- Congrats highscore music (plays on congratulations screen) --- Epilogue (Contratulations Version)
It would be a good idea to copy the original music files to a separate folder. Also, whenever updates occur, the music will probably revert back to the originals.

sorry didnt think much before posting this, i know we can just mute music and play whatever we want next to it hehe, probably no need to bother with this and focus on more important features and content

I appreciate your understanding. It's definitely a bit of a hassle to replace tracks like that. XD

I'd like a level editor.
Thanks for the game.

Level 3 music is a MIDI version of a song from Adventures Of Bayou Billy on the NES...

Oh wow! It does sound like it. Especially the buh-buh-bah-ba-dut. I think I may have heard this from someone playing it or from a video a long time ago? Anyhow, the general tune stuck with me. I'll do some adjustments or replace this track at some point. Thanks for letting me know!
(Edit: Track now replaced.)

On a separate note (pun intended), the music isn't set to any specific levels. A track is selected randomly every time a new level is entered.

I'm so sorry guys! The variable that controls whether a player has completed all levels straight through was being removed sometimes when the player lost a life. I just updated it and I believe it is working now.

Now it would be bothersome to go and beat it all again when you deserve those achievements, so I'll let you in on a little secret! There is a way to manipulate the game files to unlock certain achievements...
