Gatherer oil drill spamming?
If you place multiple gatherers such as oil drills around a resource, is there any penalty? Does the resource deplete? I tested this with oil drill and all the drills were productive.

Right now, no. It will change soon, so don't get used to it :)

Thanks for playing :)
So I presume the same applys to Gas etc, which kind of seems stupid on the face of it.

Plus is there any reason at the moment why you shouldn't always build 3 harvesters for every single resource building? Where's the drawback?

None right now. Soon, resources will be finite and with a cap on harvesters. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I wish the resource limit is an option

I want to be able to choose between infinite and finite.

I like infinite resources

I do not think all users want it to be difficult.(or hard user)

Not all users like hard things.

I think there is a light user like me.

think I gotta agree with gdiaa here, if you want to expand the endgame making resources finite might not be the way to go. it makes any kind of resource based production highly unattractive and you'll naturally end up going for products that might make less money but can be scaled up nicely and have no resource scarcity.

I'd think buying the "rights" to an oil well, or in some way discovering one, then putting a solitary pump on top of that oil well, with a fixed (but random, depending on the specific well) output. then you can plan your industry around that a bit more consistently and keep it alive whilst adding some depth to resource control, maybe the price to maintain your control over the pump isn't worth what you're currently making using it.

Just my two cents I love the game so I'm happy to do some armchair developing!

Am fine with limited resources "IF" there are options to find more (setup own seismic options etc) or perhaps buy exclusive rights to them so I can make enough off them profit wise before they deplete...

Thank you for your consent 둠박스

In the meantime, the patches only made the game harder.

I appreciate user convenience and ease of ui
I admit , praise

but The difficulty of the game only go up
I feel that It did not go down
The production time has increased and the material needed for production has increased.

Not everyone likes hard things.
Some people like easy things like me.
I do not want it to be too difficult for those who enjoy it lightly.
Even for light users like me and beginners and newbie

If it's too difficult
Maybe not good for game sales.

by any chance sorry if you feel uncomfortable

I cheer for the hard working crew. :)

so if resources will be finite will they re-spawn in other areas of the map to ensure they are still available??
Finite resources + import from off-map = infinite resources

And yes, the difficulty will determine amount, but keep in mind that when I say "finite", doesn't mean "in half hour they're gone". It's more like 50 years or so

I'm also of the opinion that a user toggle for this feature during world-gen might be a better way to go...

The current Drawback is that the upkeep cost rise and if you cant sell all the gas you are producing this would be a bad thing but since demand is so high you never run into a situation where 2 harvesters would be better.

I kind of worry about finite resource, it is more like settlers games ? we will have to keep building and demolishing building...which kill the fun for a perfect city planning just to be a bit so called realistic I would prefer limited but infinite resource like impression city builder.. begging for reconsideration

Don't worry, it'll be veeeeeeeery slow depletion. Slower than Factorio with electric miners
