Bug - Chilly Roads Ice block

Hi! Cool game but I think I am stuck with a game breaking bug. In the Chilly Roads area I stopped and talked to the boy and he said he cant get home to Coaton because of the ice block. I broke the block and proceeded. When I got to Coaton I couldnt get the story to progress when talking to people. Later I went back through Chilly Roads to see if I missed something and I got this whole new dialogue that wasnt triggered the first time from the boy about the ice block. Unfortunately I think I need to break the ice block after this new dialogue to progress the story but its already broken. Bummed.
