How to make a 256 gradient of a certain color? (custom color gradients)
Say you wanted to make a gradient of 256 colors of red starting with black to a light red.
How to?

Documents are lacking.
Found an online documentation here: https://issuu.com/tomaz136/docs/pmmanual

Says to use ramp but I can't find the ramp (outside of ramp rgb) button vs what is shown.
I'm probably blind and right in front of me.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The simplest way to create a gradient from one color to another:
- go to the color palette window
- select start color (click on it)
- hit "r" (now the cursor becomes a crosshair)
- click on destination color

Sweet! Got that part to work.
When making a gradient is it limited to 15 colors?
And if not do you have to insert one color at a time?

As you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/IFcWyU9.png
Like the 15 shades of grey i'm trying to fit all the brown into 1 gradient for some super smooth shading action.
This has been my biggest obstacle by far. Once I learn how this works the rest is easy peasy.

Please go to menu Colors/Gradients. There you can add and edit gradients to your satisfaction. Try to edit an existing gradient. In the edit window hit F1 for docs. This should help a lot. Gradients can have more than 15 colors. You can insert a couple of colors at a time, shift and arrange them etc. .

Thanks a TON on the info!
Seriously. Thank you!!

Last question and I'll leave you alone! haha.
About multishader.
Was reading this topic about it. https://community.cosmigo.com/t/pm6-5-shade-mode/204/8

I checked docs and in app settings and unable to achieve the desired results which is the ability to cycle rapidly through colots with strokes.

This unfinished fire project was achieved with Deluxe Paint 2 Enhanced and was filled with glee that PM NG was able to load LMB files.

I CAN do it in PM but if I want to use the next color I have to click the mouse over and over which can get exhausting really fast.
Depending on how many colors you used DP2 can cycle through them rather smoothly.

Please have a look at this: https://youtu.be/fuewvPlF0kg
Does this work for you?

That does work but it's an incredibly slow and inconsistent process.
Especially if using more then a handful of colors.
Like if you had 64 colors and wanted to go through all of them as it currently stands you would need to click the mouse 64 times to make it to the last shade of that color gradient.
With every single part of the project,

As a request, having the ability to move to the next shade of color when you move your mouse would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that it can shade from lightest to darkest gradient really fast when using very few colors but a solution could be to throttle when the next color is used.

Indeed, the fast mode was included with the "normal" shade in the past while multi shade always worked "one step at a time". Users found the normal shade to be too fast. I guess I'll add this as an option so that users have both ways.
