Can't tell if I found a bug or just loss

Shortly after winning the Paris Tourney the "Peace Rocket" was launched and I am not sure why. At first I thought I spend too much time leveling up my guys and the Dear Leader finally achieved/used nukes but then after youtubing some clips of the end game I'm starting to think I may have somehow glitched into the end game sequence. Thoughts?
