I dont know, Ive only managed to do the 2v2 or 2v1 via the team invite thing.

But on the website they say it has 'pub mode 6 players', and I want to do killer but 1v1v1

It is possible to create a group of 3 people in a team. You play at a table and invite both of your friends via "send team invititation". Now comes the important part: The player you invited FIRST, has to wait to accept the invitation until the SECOND invited player accepts the invitation (maybe 10-15 seconds). THEN the first invited person also accepts the invitation.
