Tower Ruins

So I'm curious. I've seen the Towers all over the map, I know these have bosses and so forth in them with good stuff.

Then there's a bunch of these towers everywhere. From what I see, you seem to need to build your own stairs to get up the levels and so forth.. but what's the actual point of them?

I haven't run into tower ruins with any bosses on them yet. I think they are just there to give some light and teach you to use the build tools to modify the environment in safety. Need that skill in caves once in a while.

The ruined towers don't give very good loot yet, but they do give light. I'm not sure what's going to happen with them in the future, but I think they need better loot. It can be a lot of trouble getting to the top, so I'd like a better reward.

I just build wood steps to get from level to level to take the lights, then deconstruct as I retreat to harvest the timber and stone. I find the puzzle of getting to the top is its own reward, and the increase in stone, timber and light (You can take the lights at 10 light per

cool.. yeah i've been seeing them all over the map. Never went into one, but I noted its always split in half and there's no way up unless you build your way up.

There's always a ton of T0 dead trees and rocks laying around as well. Minute or two of gathering will give you enough stuff to build your way to the top. Can destroy a bunch on the way up too and just level hop down.
