Achievement issues

I was able to unlock the Gold Rush achievement in game and the achievement unlocked.

However, the following Steam achievements did not unlock when I had unlocked it in game:
Buzz Kill
Shell Shock
Jaw Breaker
Top Bouncer
Treasure One
Transendent Turtle
Mega Stamina

These showed as unlocked in the Achievements screen in game, but the corresponding Steam achievement didn't unlock. Also, when I restarted the game, these showed as locked again when I viewed the Achievements screen.

Same issue here. Can we please get a fix for this.

I confirm. Achievements do not work. I was able to get one achievement only. I can't unlock the remaining Steam Achievements.

Thanks very much for reporting this everyone. I'll look into this tomorrow and report back when I think I might have this fixed.

On a related note, please keep in mind, because this is early access and game play might be tweaked quite a lot, before the game leaves early access I might have to reset the scoreboards and achievements.

OK, I've just uploaded a new build which definitely resolves at least some problems with achievements. I look forward to hearing back if it resolves the achievement issues for you.

Mike, any update on this? I know the game is shortly due for permanent retiring, but any way to fix the achievements for completionists? Or remove the problematic ones?

Haven't played very long but already top bouncer is the worst offender. Unlocks in game but not on steam. The entire achievement menu is buggy trying to scroll as well. Purchased yesterday.

I've double checked and I can still update the game even though it's retired, but I need a fresh list from you of the specific achievements which you unlocked in game which are not properly unlocked in Steam. I'll try and fix these remaining issues as I have the time. No promise how long it will take.

Hi, this is the same Mike who created Snappy Turtle, now under the ElatedThumbs studio name. I discovered what I think was the cause of the bug with achievements not submitting, but it's in a specific data file and not the game code itself, so the easy way to fix it is to edit the data file.
If you use your steam client to "brows local files" for Snappy Turtle, you will find a file called "SnappyData.stux". If you email that file to me and tell me which achievements did not successfully unlock on Steam then I can send you a fixed version of the data file. If you want to give that a try please email the file to [e-mail]

You can just remove broken achievements from Steam.
