Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll look into this over the next couple of days and get back to you. (I might need additional information at that point.)
In the meantime, could you share your system specs as reported by Steam? Thanks.
Hmm...it might be a separate issue, then. I'll investigate further.
Copying and pasting them here from your Steam Client's "Help -> System Information" menu should work fine, if you're okay with sharing your specs here.

Aha---here's the problem. Your drivers only include OpenGL 3.1 support, but Asteroids Millennium requires OpenGL 3.3, as indicated in the minimum system requirements section of the Asteroids Millennium Store Page:
Your video card drivers don't seem to be up-to-date (2011 is the date shown in your system specs).
After browsing the AMD website, it looks like your graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 7450M) has a newer set of drivers available from 2015. If you wish, you can upgrade the drivers on your machine, which should solve this problem. (I'd also recommend upgrading on general principle, but that is your choice regardless.)
Please find the link to updated graphics drivers for your system here[www.amd.com].
I'd also recommend making a System Restore Point beforehand, in case something goes wrong.
This is rather unfortunate though... If I seriously can't even get my video card drivers to update properly, then I guess I give up for now. I could just keep the game until I have a competent PC or get a refund. Thanks for trying to help me resolve this. I'm sure it's a fantastic game.
One thing that also works wonders is just a complete wipe of the computer and then a fresh install of the latest version of Windows (or just whatever version you have laying around). I do this every couple of years and it "unclogs" things, so to speak.
Thanks for your patience as we figured this out. Good luck with your upgrade, and thanks for your support regardless of what you decide to do with the game!
That's great news! I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Multiple resolutions are not supported at this time, mainly because I'm not sure how to handle cases where wider aspect ratio screens would grant certain players advantages over others.
If I can figure this out then I'll implement this. Any suggestions are welcome!
