Phoenix Too Hard to Counter?

It seems like Phoenix are not vulnerable enough and very strong. Any counter they have is easy to safeguard against, like fangs, mustangs and wasps. I've only had luck making overlords against them. The game seems to come down to who can mass phoenix's, stormcallers, and overlords. Stormcallers are a little crazy also being so strong and hidden so well in backlines.
