is the online random or can play just vs friend

this i need to know if it possible to play just against one person i know instead random online before i do misstakes

Afaik, this is possible. You invite your friend to a 1 vs 1 then no other player will be able to join. You can also play 2 vs bots, but the bots will be limited to a skill of 1 cp (combat point).

You can play random matchmaking, join public rooms or also create your own 1v1 room as invitation only, so to invite your friend so you both can play against each other.
