This game is not an RTS. If you are looking something similar to SC2, BAR is your best bet, although both the scale and the speed is very different.
Mechabellum is more akin to turn based strategy games. You see combat in real time but your decisions are all made in turn based rounds.
BAR is a RTS
Both have their appeals
Bar has a lot of variety of gameplay 1vs1 is totally played differently than 8v8. You also have turbo map with a lot of resource on the map.
Sometimes BAR feels like a real time tug of war type of game.
Play BAR if you want to sweat for your victory. mechabellum is more relax.
Neither BAR nor MB are Tug of War type games. BAR is a RTS. MB is basically a turn based strategy with turn resolution in real time. An example of Tug of War would be Direct Strike/ Desert Strike (a mod for SC2).
Don't listen to BS like this. Every single unit in mechabellum were called OP by different people, which clearly indicates... they are balanced. Only Abyss needs some tweaks, the new unit.
I guess a good argument to play Mechabellum over bar is that even if you are a complete noob who doesn't understand the beauty of Mechabellum, even if you spam the forum with low effort threads and make yourself an enemy of the community, you will still not be able to stop playing it. It's just too good. And the entry level is so low even the village idiot can manage, but the skill-ceiling is high, there is much to master.
But more than anything they are two different games, rts gives great rewards for speed/dexterity, this is pure wisdom/intelligence.
why do none of you want this game to do well but then dig in trenches and build forts as SOON as ANYONE says anything bad about the game or merely asks to learn. None of you can go a day without dogging on new players and gaslighting them about the current balance state
I'd rather people play bar over this since the rest of you would rather have another noob to crush than do ANYTHING positive
You don't ask to learn, you present wrongful opinion as fact, you spam low effort posts, you don't listen to the people giving you advice despite all of that and now you are trying to scare away new players.
Lol you say this while you are still ingame. And no, I would not want more noobs I want actual competition and people who can give useful insights/feedback and contribute positively to the community.
MECHABELLUM GAMEPLAY IS FULL OF RNG. And the most abusers of this meta IS the top players. Everytime you nerf card drop and RNG you observe a players spike.
Comparing mechabellum to BAR is not even close.
