As for mobile games, there is a very large market for them. The mobile gaming market share (in terms of revenue) is about as large as PC and consoles combined. I don't know of any plans to port Mechabellum to other platforms, but a mobile client of the game would be a good thing as it would increase the numnber of potential players by a lot. (This is purely hypothetical, I really don't know of any such plans.)
What Exactly Is Engaging, High-Quality Entertainment Experience
About A Game We Don't Even Play??
What Is Even Engaging About It At All??
It Just Seems Like They Made Up Some Lame Excuse
To Call It A Video Game, Just Saying...
Then You Have The Mobile Game That Is Also By
The Company, What Exactly Is High-Quality About That Game??
I Just Get The Feeling That This Is
Somehow A Fake Company Who's
Got Ummmm... Sorta, Artificial Expectations...
Is This Really The Old Blizzard Team,
Just Rebranded, I Can't Tell??
------------------------------------------------
As For Mobile Games??
There Is A Very Large Market For Them??
Ummmm... I Think The Only Reason This Exists,
Is Because Developers Won't Do Anything Else,
& If You Ask A Lot Of People, They Don't Like Them,
But As I Said, They Only Exist Because Devs
Won't Do Anything Else...
I Mean, I'm Not Against This Game,
It's Just, The Only Actual Game I See
That The Company Is Offering In Terms
Of Real Gameplay Here??
Is The Space Shooter...
Is The Company Gonna Ever Make
Anything Like StarCraft Or Like This Game
But As A 1st / 3rd Person Shooting Game
Where It's Not Cartoony??
I Think If Your Horizons Were A Bit
More Expanded, I Think People Would
Not Be So Disappointed...
& I'm Sure The Games Do Work Fine,
& Are Probably Not Broken Junk Like
Most Others Are...
It's Just What Does The Company
Actually Offer??
And According To The About Me Page,
It Says High-Quality Engaging Experiences...
But Here, It Just Feels Like It's More
In The Middle Like Average Experiences...
When Does The High-Quality Stuff Come Up??
Like I Would Totally Play The Space Shooter
If It Didn't Have That Cartoony Child Appearance
As A Coating On Top Of It...
If you don't like it, don't buy or use it. Nobody forces you.
At the end it is all about the money, and who works with who to publish something, isn't my concern.
Mobile games necessarily require a lot of design limitations. Every time I've seen a game go from pc to mobile the UI has gotten worse and the graphics have been downgraded. Also look at the reception of the Diablo Immortal unveil, moving to mobile can make an existing audience very disappointed. I know I would be.
My trust for anything having to do with Blizzard is honestly pretty low these days, I just hope this doesn't impact development too much.
You get what you put in. Garbage in garbage out. Anyone who has taken a coding class knows this.
Wildgate is a shooter for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Sunderfolk is a tactics RPG for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. You use your phone as a controller.
Lynked is a roguelite action RPG for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Mechabellum is ... well, you all know Mechabellum!
None of these games are available on Android or iOS.
Anyway, thanks OP; I'm just gonna start clicking on random buttons in between rounds instead of wasting precious brainpower trying to strategize, since it's not a game that can really be "played" anyway. Looking forward to climbing the leaderboard!
For My Work, So I Replied Without Reading Over,
& Editing My Reply...
@Mivo
I'll Explain How Their All Geared Twards Mobile Gaming Children...
Wildgate - Has Halo Like Shooer Vibes, Right??
--- But It's Child Friendly & Very Cartoony Like With Goofy Characters,
You Might Even Say It's Rated More Kid Friendly Then Shrek, o___@
Sunderfolk - Uses Your Phone, which is obviously geared twards mobile children
Lynked - Is Very Similiar with a color scheme of Fortnite,
Which a lot of mobile gaming children play, ~_~
Merchabelium - Is an Auto Battler RTS Game...
Auto-Battler sounds like you don't do anything, & just watch AI play game..
which is a lazy form of gaming...
What do today's mobile gaming children symbolize??
they symbolize as lazy, no work, couch potato experience...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Now That Is Why I Don't See Anything Here Worth My Time...
However, I loved Star Craft 2 when it came out, Original War Craft,
I liked how impressive it looked, & how gut wrenching it was to
fight the zerg, & defend the human race was...
If you can pull off a Game like that??
Then What I Have to say here:
Is, sure i'll buy that, & i'll even look at your mechabelium game, too,
& as an added bonus i'll even check out the card game, as well...
Because I like card games, & the auto battle simulator sounds interesting...
But The part where i'm totally drawn away here is:
Your statement on how Mobile Gaming is where the popularity is...
If mobile gaming is popular,
then why is it getting review bombed,
& then people attack studios over it
if it's sooo popular??
I'm not saying children don't like mobile gaming,
what i'm saying is, trying to bring mobile gaming to
a new market, is what i'm talking about...
I am part of the market the mobile gaming is
sorta being injected into, & not only have I said
I would never do mobile gaming, but a lot of
other people have told their own points of view
that they hate mobile gaming also...
---------------------------------------------------------
My last Reply here is:
obviously these games have been out for a while,
& I only recently was suggested to check this out,
because your an older dev from blizzard of the past...
Soooooo, because of this, I can't say anything
against the company for making games that
have already been out for a while...
Sooooo, your ok, & i've nothing against
your new company...
the fact that you replied to me at all,
& have given me any form of reply when
you never needed to...
kinda does show you care...
It's more then most people would do today,
& I apreciate that you took the time to reply...
-------------------------------------------------
In my conclusion,
Can I Ask a Favor??
People would likely disagree with this??
But could you do something with RTS
like was done with star craft 2 & C&C Tiberium Sun
& C&C 3... ?? But as a New Title by Dream Haven,
& kinda find a way to bring it to a Launcher that
Isn't STEAM, & maybe try & not use UE5 if you can avoid it... ??
RTS Games are extremely declining,
& i'm having trouble finding anything
to replace Star Craft 2 & C&C 3 with...
Reason I Suggest not using STEAM,
is because STEAM has become a very
troubling toxic platform that has sorta
gained a reputation of failure after failure...
I'm not saying don't allow it on STEAM,
I'm just saying I would rather avoid STEAM
to play the Game, simply, because the
atmosphere is constantly resulting in BAN's,
I guess you can say...
A New More Fresh Atmosphere Would Be Nice For Once...
Like I Want Story Driven,
I Want Multiplayer Driven,
Maybe Even Remote Play Optional,
Mini-Games Maybe...
But After My Experience With Gaming
In 2009 ?? I've Come To The Realization
That I'm Ok With DLC & Expansion Packs
In A Game, But Any Other Fees For The
Game, Has Been Met With Me Not Even
Buying It At All...
There Were 100's Of DLC For Modnation Racers,
Each At $5 A Piece, I Didn't Have To Buy All The
DLC, But That's Not The Issue... The Issue Is,
I Just Don't Want To Play Games Like That
Anymore With That Mindset Type Of Play Style...
I Started Acting On This In 2017, & Started
Heavily Pushing It Since 2020... & So Far
I've Stayed True To It Since & Even In 2025...
The Whole Mobile Thing Might Appeal To Children??
But I Thought The Whole Point Of Bringing The
Mobile Gaming Experience To STEAM & Other
Places, Was Simply To Engage Other Markets....
& I'm Sitting Here Who Already Has Games
On STEAM In 1 Of The Markets For It, & I'm
Clearly Not Interested...
Sooooo, Is This A Success Because People Are Buying
The Mobile Games Because Their Mobile Gaming Children Already,
Or Is It Still A Failure, Simply, Because Your Not Actually
Reaching The Intended Market You Originally Wanted??
That Is My Question Here:
You Already Reached The Mobile Gaming Market On Smart Phones...
& You Were Entirely Successful At That, I'm Sure...
But Just Because Your Crowd Comes To Computer,
Doesn't Actually Prove That The Computer Market
Actually Wanted Mobile Gaming, Instead It Still
Proves That Mobile Gaming Is Better Left On The Phone,
Where The Intended Audience Always Was All Along...
Am I Wrong??
Most The People I've Known Who Are Long Time STEAM Users,
Don't Actually Like The Mobile Market, & Still Don't In 2025,
& Most Of The Players Who Are Engaging With Mobile Gaming
In 2025 From My Understanding, Was Already In That Market
Anyways...
I Mean, Do You See My Point Here??
Every Developer Who Is Pushing This Supposed Market...
Is Getting Tramendous Back Lash On YouTube & Other Places,
& We've Had Pretty Much A War Over It Since 2020 Started...
It's Like Why Are We Being Sooo Forceful With This Market??
Is It An ECO Thing??
Or Is It A Control Thing??
I Can't Determine Which It Is Anymore...
But Regardless On Mivos Response To This,
Or How They Respond??
I Have Nothing More To Say On The Subject,
& Regardless Of The Response...
I Don't Have Anything Against Dream Haven Company,
& I Only Have To Say In Terms:
Good Luck, With The New Company...
Thank You For The Comments... =D
ok thank your for your honest (and subjective) opinion
No one forces you to buy/support garbage, but how do you know as a consumer ?
There is this quote "imagine there is war and no one shows up" now transfer this to employment. Every company & employee is free to say "i quit" if conditions are that bad. At the end this is morality to just say "nope" and refuse things that are bad, instead of just accepting them and keep going & support the wrong.
"But i have kids to feed yadayadayada" Free life advice and trust me, there just a few better feelings than quiting a job with bad conditions.
