Yeah in the majority of situations if you’ve invested into boats and enemy units are firing on them…usually that means a melting point will be on them soon.

So instead of armor or repair it’s best to avoid them being targeted in the first place.

Sounds like a situation where chaff is better than armour, however if you don't have the deploys or have to deploy something else it can certainly help.

IMO repair is often better than armour.

Another problem is that mustangs are cheaper and easier to level up so they will outstrip the armour quickly unless you keep pace.
